    Upgrade AM4 system or not?

I think ultimately that’s the right strategy. I’ve got a PS5 that I tend to use more than the PC at the moment, but that’s partly due to not having a dedicated monitor set up. Just seeing the 5800X3D on offer though has given me an itchy trigger finger, though I agree it would be wasted with...

    Upgrade AM4 system or not?

That’s not a bad shout. Unfortunately I don’t have the post count on here, so I’d be reliant on eBay and such places. I need to get a monitor though too as using the TV on a desk doesn’t work for me.

    Upgrade AM4 system or not?

Yeah still rocking the 3060. I use the system for gaming, and it’s usually at the highest resolution I can get away with, so 1440p but the games I play aren’t the most demanding of titles - things like ATS/ETS, Frostpunk and older titles. I’ve got the Ascent and doom eternal when I get round to...

    Upgrade AM4 system or not?

Hi folks, I’m wondering if it’d be worth upgrading my rig as I’ve noticed the Ryzen 9 5900 and the Ryzen 7 5800X3D on sale here coming from a 5600x? I’m sort of in no man’s land at the moment as I’m gaming on a Samsung TV but I’m looking to buy a monitor at some point. Is it worth throwing...

    How old is too old?

This is something I’ve been pondering as I’m using an EVGA G2 750w from 2014, so it’s now 10 years old. I know they’re good PSUs but should I be thinking about changing it at this point?

Left mouse button not working on fresh Windows 7 install

I've since installed a different SSD into the PC and installed Windows 10 and it's (touch wood) running flawlessly. It had a fair amount of dust inside when I first looked at it, so I stripped it down and gave it a good clean. Incidentally, the mouse IS faulty as I connected it to my PC and the...

Left mouse button not working on fresh Windows 7 install

I've connected the PC to my telly and the image is absolutely fine, even when going into the BIOS. It doesn't boot though - I get a message along the lines of 'the current bios setting does not fully support the boot device', then it goes onto mention adjusting CSM settings to enable the boot...

Left mouse button not working on fresh Windows 7 install

I thought I'd solved this issue but no, gremlins are still present! I managed to get Windows 10 installed using my mouse, which suddenly decided to work with the PC. I loaded the drivers and made sure it was working fine, bought a digital licence, and tried the original mouse that refused to...

Left mouse button not working on fresh Windows 7 install

I built it roughly 10 years ago for a friend, so I suppose it's had good innings. I just don't understand why the mouse works fine in the bios, it's bizarre. I've connected my mouse again and managed to get a bit further so I chucked Windows 10 on there but couldn't update it because it knew...

Left mouse button not working on fresh Windows 7 install

I'm thinking there's actually something wrong with the motherboard at this point... I've updated the bios to the most recent version, 2501, from 2014, but the exact same problems exist. There's auto, enabled, and disabled options for USB legacy and none of them make any difference whatsoever...

Left mouse button not working on fresh Windows 7 install

Hey all, I'm reinstalling Windows 7 on a PC that I built for someone a few years back. They've been having trouble loading Windows, and I decided a fresh install was the best option, but, from the first installation window where you select the language etc I noticed the left mouse button wasn't...

Anyone just given up on looking for a new GPU?

From the PlayStation side of things, the last console that streamed from the optical drive was the PS3; PS4 onward basically install the contents from the disc and use them to confirm you have a license for the game every time you launch the game, then the drive spins down.

    Aftermarket cooler for GTX1060 SC?

Hahaha just testing you lol, yes undervolt not overvolt, what could possibly go wrong!

    Aftermarket cooler for GTX1060 SC?

No I hadn't thought about overvolting so I'll start there. Now I just need to find a windowed side panel and I'll be set, but I should probably post it in the case section. Thanks guys!

    Aftermarket cooler for GTX1060 SC?

Yeah it's the single fan model and that's a brill idea. I'd like to upgrade but the GPU situation being the way it is I decided to hold off, probably until next year now. This should tide me over till then.

    Aftermarket cooler for GTX1060 SC?

Hey all, as the title states is there an aftermarket cooler (not an AIO just an air cooler) that would work on the EVGA GTX1060 SC? The noise of the stock cooler has put me off gaming it's ridiculously bad. I'd consider an AIO as a last resort but I'd prefer an air cooler if there's one out...

Where have all the graphics cards gone?

Doesn't your last quote only reinforce the first one? People with little money charging hundreds of pounds to help fund their family's Christmas should lower their expectations. There is no justification for the actions of these scalpers, though the manufacturers also need to shoulder their...

    New GPU recommendation please :)

Christ, and I'm considering a B grade card?! I've had EVGA for the past few GPU purchases and they've been solid, I've got time to mull it over anyway so I'll take my time. If you were going to buy a new GPU right now, considering my specs and everything else, what would it be?

    New GPU recommendation please :)

It's the ASUS RTX 2070 Super, which goes for £499 new. There's plenty of choice on there though to be fair so I'll take a closer look. I guess it's pot luck is it in that you get a card and then see what the manufacturer is willing to offer for support if any? I've never bought B grade before...
