Gigabytes support for ivy through their bios has been a complete joke. P67 and z68 both don't work with any K processors. That's the last time I will be buying gigafail. Asrock ASus Msi dint have this problem.

HT is useless for my needs. I don't need to render in ray racing or convert a 2gb movie file. 3570k @ 5ghz it is!

Dave the whole swap should only put u about £50 down. £340 for second hand 7970. £390 for a new 680gtx.

AMD's only lead ATM stick more memory on a gfx card and hope for the best!

Let's put it this way. Had a bought a 7970 3 weeks ago for £400 I would be pretty p****ed off. This way for 390£ I have a better faster quieter and more efficient gfx card in my system....

Do it. You will get everything that u get on 7970 + additional speed + quieter + less Wattage + decent set of drivers.

Some smarts ass is going to come on and say that 6gb mem is minimum now for gfx card....

Until u can do a test graph in demo showing Wram usage in a bf3 this doesn't prove much but that bf3 is a buggy game.
