We don't go too mad with gifts. Spend about £20 a person and only buy for a handful of people.
I really like Christmas, me and the wife both have time off and while we see a lot of the family anyway it's nice to have an extended period where we don't do much apart from do stuff with them.
I'm pretty sure if you get a new deal 6 months before your original is meant to end and the bank's rates go lower in the 6 months after they will honour that lower rate.
It's not illegal to open other people's mail as long as your not doing it for 'detriment' of the addressed person.
I open letters addressed to previous owner then contact the sender to tell them to stop sending stuff and/or tell them the addressee is fraudulently using their old address.
Exactly this. When we got our semi detached house, people were trying to tell us this but I had to point out that someone has to be responsible for all 3 corners of fence at some point otherwise there would be an unowned fence down the line.
I had to book my own MRI as the NHS wouldn't give me one. Gp requested MRI for an possible ACL injury. After 4 weeks they denied it and I had to go back to the end of the queue for an xray....... so I paid for an MRI two days later.
Got an appointment for a consultant two weeks later and rung...
I paid for a private MRI. Results were very quick and they gave me an opinion by their resident consultant. However I couldn't send these to my NHS GP or consultant, it was completely ridiculous, apparently there was no way to add it to my file.
I think the thread is kind of getting derailed a bit. But I would say gyms are one of the most welcoming places for all.
Any pressure someone feels to look a certain way there, IMO is 99% their own insecurities. From my experience everyone just offers encouragement to everyone else regardless...
Monopoly is fun for a bit but it then gets to a point there is only going to be one winner and everyone is just going through the motions till they are out. Sometimes that takes ages.
We have ticket to ride for this year which I'm looking forward to.
I've just opened that lloyds 6.25% saver as well. Then have got all my saved money in a 4% isa but you can't make more than 3 withdrawals a year (you don't get penalised but after the 3rd withdrawal rate drops to 1.5%)
I think it's probably this. They are seeing used prices decline and don't want to be caught overpaying for a load of cars they then have to get rid on the cheap.
