    Elden Ring

Theres secret bits as well. I seem to remember finding one by accident and then went through the entire place again hitting every wall in sight to make sure it wasn’t an illusion :p

Moonveil is epic if you scale it with dex and int. Also need to need to up FP for full effect.

    Elden Ring

Yep - good farming spot. I equip gear that maximises the number of runes you get from enemies and scoff a golden pickled fowl foot. Bosh the bird with a single arrow so it runs off the cliff and then go and Moonveil the hell out of all the enemies by the site of grace. Dash back and rest, rinse...

    Elden Ring

There are things you can find that unlock some upgrade materials available from the trader in roundtable hold that helps, but yeah you also have to go looking for resources for some of the higher level stones and some seem to drop infrequently. Just explore as many caves/mines as you can - it...

    Elden Ring

Used to be easy before they patched the cliff dive cheese, or so I have read! :p My advice is to take down gargoyle 1 ASAP before his mate turns up. It’s definitely possible but you might need to level up a bit. There’s a mini boss right by this one if you haven’t tackled it already. You...

    Elden Ring

I still use that shield. Been part of my main equipment for ages! :) In general, my philosophy was if I got caught out or ambushed, I noped the hell out and ran like stink in the opposite direction! Ran off a few cliffs in a panic here and there though, so it’s not entirely fool proof :p

    Elden Ring

I had issues with accidentally clicking L3 when playing, especially fighting. So I swapped controls over. Could you be accidentally clicking a button like R3 to “lock on” Lock on can do some weird things with the camera if you are not expecting it.

Re secrets - in various places throughout ER, walls may not be as they appear. Always worth checking!

    Elden Ring

I mostly kept all of my remembrances too. Figured they might come in handy in NG+ or something. Re Renalla, super aggressive was the key for me. Didn’t give her time to summon and rolled into and under her second phase attacks. I struggled because I was being defensive but when I switched to...

The last game you completed, and rating (Console Edition)

I’m nearly at the end of this now. Have really enjoyed it so far!

The last game you completed, and rating (Console Edition)

Deliver us Mars - 6/10 Really chilled out, easy going, linear, story driven game. Simple gameplay mechanics and puzzles but was a change in pace/style from what I normally play. Really quite enjoyed this game a lot more than I thought I would.

The last game you completed, and rating (Console Edition)

Alan Wake 2 - 8/10 An intelligent, absorbing and thought provoking story with some pretty good gameplay mechanics. Also, the Alan Wake Show part of the story was perhaps one of the most crazy but awesome experiences I’ve had in a game. Very memorable. I very much enjoyed this game and I also...

Is the console going to become extinct or evolve?

I think the notion that the death of consoles would be good for PC gaming is a straw man argument. Similarly consoles have been the only thing keeping the games market going and without that consumer / player base most modern titles would have never been made. Gaming is a multi billion pound...

    Elden Ring

Just in case nobody else has mentioned it, where you are supposed to go is depicted by the yellow “wind like” streaks on your map. Obviously you are free to ignore them but they are pointers as to where to go to advance in the game and usually coincide with lots of enemies and a boss (or two)...

    Elden Ring

Elden Ring rewards exploration. Re the courtyard - if you are hitting it head on you are doing it wrong (imo). Don’t want to spoil anything for you, but if you play your cards right you will approach the area from a different entry point which may or may not make life a bit easier for you :)

Clearly it is a cultural thing, but don’t worry, I’m not foaming at the mouth nor am I one of the “ists” you mention. I just find it a curious thing that the women are all in skin tight clothing with massive boobs (inc. the jiggle(TM) physics engine)! There’s a few interesting camera angles here...

*The Official PlayStation 5 (PS5) Thread*

Just finished the demo of stellar blade. Killed the boss on 2nd attempt. Not sure how I feel about it. Looks like there will be some decent mechanics and gameplay but the voice acting so far feels a bit iffy and I’ve never been one for the Japanese view of women in games, ie skin tight (or...

Sky Sports to remain home of Formula 1 until 2029 after deal extended in all Sky markets

Don’t think much of this new format. I could live with the studio stuff if the picture quality held up. But the on location image quality is poor and the sound isn’t always in synch either. On track picture quality is still OK, but meh, feels like a step backwards overall.
