Windows 10 Updates cause USB devices to not be able to reconnect....any ideas please?

OK issue finally now resolved.... As I mentioned one of the updates in Window 10 that gets rolled into the cumlative updates/new versions of Windows 10 stops my keyboard/mouse reconnecting when using a USB switch to swap these devices between my old desktop and my work laptop. I upgraded my...

Windows 10 Updates cause USB devices to not be able to reconnect....any ideas please?

Thanks for input! I have tried different keyboard and mice and they all suffer the same issue. It must be part of one of the updates borking my USB ports after a devices disconnects not allowing that port to be used again. Very much like this Win XP issue...

Windows 10 Updates cause USB devices to not be able to reconnect....any ideas please?

Hi, I am running an old PC (Sandybridge) in my office on Windows 10, and also have my work laptop connected there too, with a basic USB switch so they can both share the same keyboard and mouse. For years I was able to simply switch the keyboard and mouse between the two, back and forth 100’s...

    1366 X58 Xeon 5650

Hi Decided to have a final shot today, it didn't matter what I did in the BIOS, as soon as I changed anything from the "Auto" even if I kept the same value but inputted it manually or even increased the CPU Volts up form the default the BIOS would not boot, even when running at standard clocks...

    1366 X58 Xeon 5650

Hi Rollo The QPI Link Speed I did fiddle with, at stock settings it was "Auto" being x48, I did set it manually to x48 and also x36 instead. Options were x36, x44, x48 and 87mhz. I might have a final shot at weekend and give it one last try. Tks Diddy PS: The QPI is 6.4ghz on the Xeon at...

    1366 X58 Xeon 5650

Hi AiiR I did set the RAM to the same timings it has always run at manually, at the slacker timings for the XMP1600mhz speed (9,9,9,24,2) used in the original i7 overclock, even though it was nowhere near that speed with the much lower BCLK had no luck, the BIOS just kept doing the...

    1366 X58 Xeon 5650

Hi I swapped out my i7 950 @ 4ghz for a X5650 and like Kurgen above after many hours of faffing about my i7 is back in. The X5650 does run super cool under 30 degrees at idle and under 50 at load which is damn impressive, but on my Gigabyte X58A UDR3 motherboard it would not post or even boot...

acronis true image and the like

Been using 2010 and 2011 for quite a while, probably restored a full HD image at least 40 times and never had a simple problem, all I would say is don't mix up the version you create the image with and the version you use to restore it. Diddy

Mate, If you are having new carpets fitted ask the fitter make any off cuts as big as possible and:- 1) Take those off cuts and cut them in to the shape you need 2) Have them "whipped" round the edges to make them look smart http://www.acecarpetedging.co.uk/ 3) Cut out a bit of the thinest...

Nope the apportionment of the memory will be the same, however it does mean you can actually move some more of the apps out of the 500mb block to free up some more space. Some of the app2sd utilities will move some of the apps, however once rooted using other software you can move more of the...

Been using mine an awful lot whilst on holiday and whilst flying out to the states I got 4 hours of battery whilst playing 1 HD film and the rest as SD, however on the way back I watched SD programs for just over 6 hours and it still showed over 30% battery left, this was because I turned the...

Sounds promising, been using mine quite extensively now and think that I need to get it rooted as starting to have some memory issues. I am not sure how android memory works but I only have about 500 meg usable and that has been used up already which had stopped me installing new apps and some...
