I solved my slow sleep issue by disabling hibernate mode. I did that in Lion before but didn't realise it made such a big difference.

Is anyone finding that it takes a lot longer for their mac to goto sleep? It takes my Mid-2010 MBP (SSD +8 gb ram) around 15 seconds to get the flashing white light... EDIT: by flashing white light, i mean the sleep light.

hmmm...I did use it for a fresh install and I don't see a missing icon. Which one you talking about?

I got the same with my USB stick but proceeded with using it to install because a search on google revealed that it still works.

I tried uninstalling gfxcardstatus again, and also did a PRAM reset. Hurrah! Problem fixed so far...

It's not gfxcardstatus, because I am still getting the blue now with it uninstalled.

I will go with you on that because mine just completely crashed. I only installed gfxcardstatus this evening, and everything was fine before that. The site said it was mountain lion ready though...

Yes I do, it was left on dynamic switching, but now i've set it on integrated to get rid of the blue for now.

I have the 2.4GHz 15" (1680x1050) Mid-2010 MBP upgraded with an SSD and 8gb RAM. Graphics has no problem switching between the two cards.

My Mid-2010 MBP doesn't have any issues with the nvidia gpu. Everything is running smoothly.
