Yeah I can easily see that being the case, I wonder if 4 to 8gb is even noticeable for today's games, I doubt it. BUT when you are using lots of memory intensive apps, like I am at the moment, you really do feel the benefit of 16gb.... so depends what you are going to be doing I guess...

I think the jump from 8 to 16 is the noticable jump, speed wise may as well spend a touch more and get faster ran whilst doing so.

that's correct the pump has a 3 pin connection.
