Looking to upgrade my old gtx 7 series, for 1440 with ultra settings.
Seems roughly £100 more for the super but only 10 FPS, so wondering would a £350-£380 ish 2070 be the way to go? and any recommendations for a super quiet card?

Got bits from bathroom. com, and tiles...

Solarstorm X6 is the latest version on the bay for £16ish, buddy has one and versus the XT40 its a bit more floody so pics up the edges even better. Its one hell of a light when mounted on the bars and good enough to not need an additional helmet light unles you're doing some twisty gnar...
Solarstorm XT40, Solarstorm battery box, x4 Torchy the battery boy 18650, and an Xtar VP2 charger = £70 ish total cost, lasts 3-4 night rides on a mixture of medium/full beam, and is literally like a second sun, 2000 claimed lumens. (x4 cree LEDs)
Agree! The 2080 @ £750 will certainly offer ray tracing (at low FPS!) but ray tracing aside, FPS vs FPS, the 1080ti @ £600 will have the bang for buck crown by a mile!
