Finally got around to doing something about this.
I managed to source a new old stock PSU for 25 quid on ebay (Bronze 80 350w) original shuttle part.
Ive got her booting but there was clearly something not right with the win 95 install and it was rebooting constantly.
Trying to install win 7 but...
Hi people,
I have a shuttle SN45G Dusk & Dawn case which I am very reluctant to dispose as I think its pretty :)
Does the case conform to a form factor which I can make use of with a Mini ITX board or something similar ? Thanks.
Hi guys,
havent posted anything for a while (slight understatement).
I am taking the plunge and upgrading my pc which entails changing the motherboard & CPU from AMD to Intel.
I am running windows 10, what issues am I likely to encounter if I dont do a clean install? Is it likely to boot up at all?
If goods are faulty and you have lost the receipt all you have to do is provide proof of purchase, such as a cheque book stub or a credit card statement.
Consumer rights, simplez.
Opted for
1 x AMD Piledriver FX-6 Six Core 6300 Black Edition 3.50GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail £85.99
1 x Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard £74.99
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit
Thought it best playing...
So long as DDR3 is no taller than DDR2 should be ok, there is lots of clearance currently. Will double check though when hairy draught excluder moves out of the way.
Just tried to check out with Paypal and it doesnt include the delivery cost, yet it is shown in the basket of the website, is this normal?

Excellent. I knew I came to the right place.
Do you think I will be able to get away without doing a clean install of OS (Win7 64bit) or is that unlikely?
yeah, probably not gonna overclock and have an AMD gfx but cant remember which. Got a scythe infinity cooler, should that still fit as far as you know?
My CPU has just gone kapput so had a look at replacing but seems socket AM2+ is way out of date. Mobo was this http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4N72E/#overview
Want to stick with AMD and I dont want a gpu on chip but not sure what socket i need. Looking to spend about 200 quid but will need...
Recently ordered the Kingston SSD which was on offer (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18431294) delivered next day about 10am, very happy. Big thumbs up to your team.
got a 3850 AGP, took 10 mins to swap cards (including dropping pc on floor) then removed old software, installed new and jobs a good un.
I appreciate what people say about getting new mobo but I just couldn't bring myself to go through installing the OS again.
After some advice, currently running an X800pro which has served me well since its release. I dont want to upgrade to pci-e so want to stick to AGP, I was think of a HD3850 or 3450 ATI card.
Running an AM2 3800+ dual core cpu (not exactly sure which) and 4gig ram.
One of the reasons i want to...
