Zen 3 is incredibly fussy about memory. DOCP is not exactly perfect either.
If I were you, I'd re-enable DOCP and run memtest for a few hours to see if you can either replicate the error or get a BSOD, that would at least allow you to confirm the issue. Have you had any lock-ups since you...
Does anyone have a reason not to get one of these. I've been starting on-and-off at the webpage for the last two months and I'm close to pressing the play button...
Check Windows event viewer, filter by severity and it should give you some indication of what caused the most recent reboot. Let us know what it says the cause is.
Hmm. Are they a set of four DIMMs, or two sets of two DIMMS? Also if you run HWINFO64, are they both running with the same memory timings (you'll need to click on the tiny memory picture in the memory section to see what each channel runs at)?
Your board should have more than one USB controller; perhaps give a port that's run off another controller a try?
EDIT: I can't find the darn chipset layout diagrams, hmm.
Just bought a 7800X3D as a placeholder. I'm hoping for 2-3 slot-in upgrades over the next few years. It'll be fun to just upgrade the CPU rather than the whole darned system.
7900 X3D or 7950 X3D. The scheduler issues are largely fixed and they'll own at gaming, whilst being excellent at productivity and far better at energy efficiency. Also on the upside you have an upgrade path, the only downside is that memory stability can be an issue. But you don't need more...
I mean... there was a performance uplift from 12th to 13th gen, which you'll also benefit from with the 14th Gen. It makes sense to upgrade one last time to keep the system around for as long as possible.
I'm coming out of the closet as playing Fortnite; I play with these system settings (that's 3500 DPI in Logitech' software) alongside a 21% X axis and 19.5% Y axis sensitivity in-game:
Wouldn't recommend enhancing pointer precision per se, but it's what I'm used to and have muscle memory with.
So: the answer is 'sort of'. iCUE can detect the board once you've added MSI's software add-ons.
However with the present state of iCUE*, its plugins and MSI's own software, all I can control is the 'JCORSAIR' header on the MPG X670E, not the motherboard I/O RGB. Seems I'll just have to set...
Value wise the Pro ART models are hard to beat. The X670E model, which you can find for a decent price, Has PCIE 5.0, two USB 4.0 connectors and also 10GB + 2.5 GB Ethernet. These are capabilities which would normally cost £700+ but can be had for low £400s. If you need fast transfer speeds and...
