It's difficult as AMD seem to have made 95c acceptable, so I think my opinion needs to change too. Ideally would see some reviews of this pairing to see how competent it is.
I personally was thinking of getting a 7700X, DRP4, B650E, and 32GB DDR5 6000Mhz (is C40 too slow, maybe minimum C36?)...
Interesting, thanks, wonder how much louder a 240mm AIO is over the DRP4... I suspect I'd prefer a more silent machine than say an extra 100MHz from PBO2.
Hello,
I'm thinking of getting this monitor for home office use:
Dell UltraSharp 27 Monitor - U2722D
Only needed for work purposes, is this the best option?
Thanks!
1. Tough one, they've designed a case for silence so with that comes trade offs for temperatures. Personally I'd go for it and if it's drastically too hot (which I don't think it will be) then try it with the front panel off and see how it sounds. Not great for keeping dust out so I'd probably...
Cheers all. How do you find going to work and using a flat screen and then coming home and using a curved screen, or even both at home if you work from home for example?
Cheers, I need to re-look over my choices and watch your videos.
Just on first glance I understood the DR4 to be quieter than the Sycthe although it was a while ago when I looked into this so can't be 100% certain, I think they were quite close to be honest.
Your RAM I guess you've gone for...
Cheers tamzzy. Appreciated. Yeah it's really not worth it it seems.
Would you particularly change anything else in my build to make it more silent? The only thing I'm left to decide on is a WiFi card, considering maybe the ASUS AC56 802.11ac card.
Final build would then be:

Cheers both, that's a fair point to be fair. MP510 is £110 versus +£79 for TeamGroup gen4, or +£85 for the WD Black, or +£90 for 970 EVO Plus. It's unnecessary like you say. Okay persuaded, thank you!
Hi,
I'm thinking about which SSD to get for my new build and I'm currently thinking about:
My basket at Overclockers UK:
1 x TeamGroup T-Force Cardea Zero Z440 1TB NVMe PCIe Gen4 M.2 Solid State Drive= £188.99
Total: £188.99 (includes shipping: £0.00)
It seems to get quite a favourable...
Hi,
I've never used a curved screen so don't know if I'd prefer the 34GK950F over the 27GL850-B, has anyone else been in the same situation? Which did you pick? Main use would be FPS gaming and probably YouTube.
Cheers
