Do MSI use cheap thermal pads? Why did they melt in the first place?
I've built many systems and its the first time ive seen this..
I downloaded HWinfo and the MOS doesnt go above 60c running occt/prime95 large
MSI tech support just got back to me and said
Thanks for contacting MSI technical support.
Regarding your concern, we are sorry, in this case, it seems that the cooling pad has melted. Please remove the heat sink on the front of the motherboard and replace the cooling pad. Please wipe the...
Hi All
Opened up the back of my case and can see these huge black oily patches on the back of my motherboard.. is this something to worry about?
The temps are fine running prime95 Blend (Core/Mos etc) and im using only air coolers in my system.
Case: Coolermaster Masterbox MB500
CPU: I7...
Well after crashing again, OCUK said return it to us.
Going to order a 1080ti since no replacements for ages and send this one back. its a 1:1 swap anyways..
So after swapping my RM850 for a RM1000x psu from OCUK ive been fine for 8 hours so far, no crashes. I hope im fine for a while because this gpu cost me 650+200
The 1000w recommended was correct for me so far...
My Corsair RM850 struggles with the RX Vega 64 Liquid at turbo mode, so I need a new one.
The Kolink Continuum 1050w Platinum is at a good price, can anyone vouch for these power supplies?
Wish I was.. my wallet was already torn.
warranty is gone aswel so im gonna have to get a new one.. wish the cougar GX V3 1050w was in stock.
On the bright side I lowered the power limit by 25% from 50% and havn't crashed yet. I bet this 850w can only do 600-650 realy. wish you luck btw
Wattman is the only thing monitoring the gpu atm
Gonna try but the gpu in lower power mode see if it fixes.. the tachometer on the gpu is only 1 light when the crash happens its fine when running 3dmark extreme stress test. Firefox seems to be the only common culprit when it occurs.
I dont think my Corsair RM850 can manage this Vega 64 AIO as I have been getting no signal crashes while browsing the web.. seems to be 100% utilization in games though and fps seems normal.
The only time I crash is when browsing, could this be a driver issue? I've complete reinstalled 3 times.
If I leave the battlenet client open in background while browsing my monitor flickers black randomly
anyone else :P
I think when two hardware accelerated applications are active at the same time problems occur black flicker/freeze/stutter
I dont use freesync
Edit: Wattman went not responding...
If someone was to crossfire 2 of these would it be better with the blower cards or AIB like the gaming x
I ask because reference blowers run very hot on this card
