    Tabletop Warhammer?

I’ve been doing mega DIY lately so I’m too busy and tired to paint :( The silver lining is the room I’m doing at the moment will be my hobby space so that’s nice. But it’s a mission, it’s a grotty brick built lean to extension with a PVC roof that we never use because it’s got the conservatory...

Another squad out the door, Captain in Terminator Armour too. Took one look at that ridiculous base topper he’s supposed to be on and said nope no thank you haha. Who’s got time for that sort of nonsense.

Thanks :) that means a lot With these I’ve set out from the very beginning with it being 100% an army project so I spent some time trying to work out exactly what methods and products would get the best results in a reasonable time frame, I’m trying really hard on every model and they do take...

Varnish the Salamanders and put them out somewhere imo, seems a shame to have them hidden away. Can you put together a kill team from anything you've got, can probably do an Intercessors one right? Maybe just get that on the go and finished, if nothing else you'll get the satisfaction of having...

    Tabletop Warhammer?

Don’t take this the wrong way because it’s not meant to be snidey - have you fully completed and based any models so that you can say “yep that’s finished, don’t need to do anything else”? If you haven’t, honestly just pick your closest model to finished, and just bang it out, base it, and put...

I gave it a rattle can primer of black because it’s big enough that it gets handled a lot during painting but really it’s a prime of AK dirty red (dual exo coloured primer) then black red from underneath, carmine for the sort of middle/highlight then scarlet red for the brightest bit. All AK. I...

@NoxiaCheers :) It’s AK grey brown, AK decomposed flesh, and AK vampiric flesh, from dark to light. Trying to decide if I do 5 terminators next, or scouts, or some Flash Gitz and Kaptin Badrukk for the army that I actually play with at the moment! Decisions

    Tabletop Warhammer?

Felt like this took forever, I am so over it. Got another one base coated but gonna do something else in between, can't face another one right now! Still got to do his gatling cannon arm thing though. Non-zero chance that ends up in a drawer somewhere.

Redemptor WIP. I was getting a bit worried about this one as it was looking pretty guff for a while there but I think it'll be alright.

@Noxia the lid is just like on a hot sauce bottle like sriracha or similar. You just open it as far as it goes and squirt the paint out through the gap. They’re not my favourite lids as they’re a bit dribbly but they never clog to be fair.

Gotcha, I remember now reading/hearing that it's that instead of the nickel plating on the others but didn't realise that was specifically what the CR plus meant. My Ultra has tarnished a bit as it's nickel. You can apparently fit that triple seal to any of their brushes as well.

    Tabletop Warhammer?

I think the seals are the same but you need three for the ALplus and CRplus models, here’s the link where it said there’s three (I haven’t taken that bit of my infinity apart yet)...

    Tabletop Warhammer?

I believe all Infinity seals etc are the same, in fact almost all the seals are the same throughout the range except the Colani. The CoP infinity is pretty much an Infinity ALplus. I think you need three for them. I think it's 123450

@Noxia that decal on the leg can still be seen to with the decal solvent. Brush some on and just push it flat with the end of a cotton bud, like the actual end of it. Poke poke poke and just press it, take your time, those creases will honestly disappear. They look good, base looks good too...

You get bigger cracks when it’s thicker with crackle pastes usually. I’ve tried some new AK stuff on those eradicators, put it on quite thick and it’s made very small cracks, found out that AK actually say you should glue a bit of paper to the base and put it over that to make it crack properly...

    Tabletop Warhammer?

There's a secret to quick and easy basing. Just don't do a good job of it. Texture paste, contrast or wash, drybrush, it's the easiest thing ever. If you get texture paste on their feet, first of all it doesn't really matter because people do get dirty feet, also just get a wet brush and swoosh...

    Tabletop Warhammer?

I can only assume that the Mig ones are similar to if not the same as micro set and micro sol. Micro set softens the decal up a bit and more importantly makes it slide around easily on the model. Micro sol is a solvent and it dissolves the clear part of the decal and also softens the printed...

My actual setup is pretty expensive but it doesn't need to be. Sil Air 15d £420 Cult of Paint Infinity £212 Extractor booth about £90 I think these seem to be slightly more expensive now but they all have little LED lights in them which is nice. Hose £10 or so Extra connectors you'll probably...

    Tabletop Warhammer?

I use a Cult of Paint H&S infinity but that’s not because my talent requires it (it absolutely does not I am like half a step past beginner with an airbrush), I just really like cult of paint and the airbrush looks sick, and it’s really light. I just treated myself basically. The 2024 Ultras...
