    **** The Official Samsung Galaxy S22 Family Thread ****

    Anyone else getting stung by the Tesco mobile offer over christmas for the s22+? They had reasonable offer on for £677.50 upfront (-the £200 cashback from samsung) on a 1 month rolling contract of £11.50. I didn't need the contract so cancelled it - they now want an additional £400 or the phone...

    Anyone seeing car insurance pricing increases?

    Mine went from £282 to £460 at renewal, same car no claims. Was able to get the same cover for £250 through a comparison website however. When I called to cancel the autorenewal Admiral offered to price match the £250 which I thought was pretty cheeky.

    NHS=Negligent Health Service

    Same story everywhere isn't it! I just don't know what the solution is, demand is just so far beyond our capacity and it's not even leveling out.

    NHS=Negligent Health Service

    A claim on something like this whilst it does sound justified pribably wouldn't go anywhere. The calls are triaged based on the information given, calls are then responded to in order of priority. If higher category calls keep coming in then they won't get to the lower category onces, unless...

    NHS=Negligent Health Service

    I'm a Paramedic and this happens every day unfortunately. Fallen on the floor with a head injury typically codes as a cat3 response which when the system works is a 1-2 hour targeted response. Cat 2 (18min) would be things like stroke/heart attack. Ultimately we're so busy now cat2 is...

    Moving out of the way of an emergency vehicle

    In answer to original question; I work on a response car for ambulance service, my understanding is is that if a member of the public proceeds through a red light to give way to ourselves you are certainly running the risk of points and fine if a camera picks you up automatically. My practice is...

    Moving out of the way of an emergency vehicle

    Whilst you may be correct in your assumption it's also quite likely they were just training. The majority of training is done on public roads and if they were just repeating an overtaking manoeuvre on each other at speed this is likely what they were doing.

    Garden Wall

    As said it's not a load bearing or retaining wall so you don't need a structural engineer. Anyone who calls themselves a builder should be able to carry out that repair to a good standard!

    Surrender license

    He might get lucky, I was offered a course for 41 in a 30 so he may end up with one course and one lot of points. Time will tell!

    Speeding in a company car, everything missed, court date soon. what now?

    My unqualified expectation is that since your colleague has now been informed of the court date the owner of the car has competed their requirement in naming him. Your colleague will need to attend court with representation and a good explanation for not engaging earlier and the judge will...

    The wait to…points? A slap on the wrist?

    If they were paying attention sounds like you were going fast enough to be caught. It's not automatic though so if they were having a break you might get lucky! In South Yorkshire I was offered a course following 41mph in a 30mph zone.

    Got water under my floorboards and found this.

    Concerning! I think you're going to need to clear as much of the area as possible to see if that gives you a better idea of what's going on.

    Smart Meters

    I had mine installed by bulb last month but they don't work. Bulb say they're not getting sent readings and should just send readings in every now and then as previously.

    When was your last speeding ticket?

    My last was about 4 years ago from a mobile van. 41 in a 30 = speed awareness course. I work for the ambulance service so I'll see if I can anger any gatsos in the area to test your theory. On the whole I find cameras in general are very rarely active (Yorkshire region).
