Just a word of warning for when these hit European shores.
I picked one up yesterday (based in Canada) and am not impressed. So much so, it's going back over the weekend.
Two dead/stuck green pixels right in the middle of the screen is the first issue, and this has been COMMONLY reported among...
Hi all,
I've recently upgraded my old Athlon 2800 for something a little more up-to-date (in sig - hooray! :D ) and now I'm starting to think my monitor could use some updating too.
I'm presently using the Xerox XA7-192i which I bought about 12 months ago to replace my Iiyama VisionMaster...
My point exactly :P
Anyway, I honestly didn't realise that games initially cost so much on consoles. I only bought the PS2 (my first console) after it had been out a year or so, so the games were relatively cheap.
Just goes to show I suppose - think I'll rent any titles I'm interested in...
I have the same problem - seem to be too slow to join a game, whenever I try to host it just sits there with no-one connecting.
Luckily the game is so similar to the PES bloodline I can just boot up an online sess of PES5 on the PC for the same experience :)
Hmmm fair enough. Was the PS2 ever this expensive for games then? My ageing memory lets me down, but I can't believe I ever shelled out £50 for a game :)
Yup I also use the MS one. Was £70, but when it means I can plonk my 360 wherever I like in the house and still have Live access, it's worth it.
Especially handy when the missus starts moaning that she wants the TV ;)
The thought just occurred - why the hell are we paying £40-50 per game on the Xbox 360, compared to other platforms?
I seem to remember reading that it's something to do with production costs in making an HD game, but if that's the case why haven't we been paying £50 for PC games all these...
I had a Sony Wega 32" CRT which I used with the 360 for around 3 months. Some games looked good, whereas I had real problems with others. I sit quite far back from the TV and had to shelve great games such as GRAW as I just couldn't see what was happening on-screen :)
I ordered the Sony 40"...
Sorry to bump an old post, but i was just about to ask exactly the same question :)
Anyone got any ideas? Searched high and low on the internet - can't find anything.
Cheers
