Got water under my floorboards and found this.

Turns out it was an old central heating pump but was just left under the floorboards and not connected to anything. After more investigations and potential solutions, I think I have found the source of my water. Next doors rain water drain was leaking into the ground and making its way under...

Got water under my floorboards and found this.

I only bought the house recently and been trying to sort a damp issue, so by process of elimination I have arrived at this point. No water meter it’s an 1893 mid terraced house. The water is localised to the one room. Got a plumber coming out on Saturday, so hopefully he can sort something.

Got water under my floorboards and found this.

Yes, just left lying there, on original siting I couldn’t tell if it was connected. No numbers on it for it to be a meter, it’s been suggested to me it could be an old central heating pump. I couldn’t decipher what it’s name etc was.

    Learners on motorways, date confirmed.

from 4th June learners are allowed on motorways. As a driving instructor I welcome this change and it's been a long time coming. Hopefully the daft instructors won't do it too early in the training. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/learner-drivers-will-be-allowed-on-motorways-from-2018
