Mini PC for Gaming at average levels

The problem you have is you are going to start compromising on performance in favour of size. Can you not live with a mini itx setup?

    Door seal glue

I was thinking the same, Ford should have took responsibility for that flaw and put it right

Please, please help me buy a power steering pump

That’s always the risk with going to a breaker for an old car part, I would have just give them the original faulty one if you wanted TRW. My local garage has a trade account with ECP and other suppliers, so I’m surprised yours couldn’t just source the part for you and deal with the swap directly?

What is Your Favourite Gloss Paint?

Nope, and if you look closely you can still see the grain ever so slightly - lovely finish. Ring up Dulux trade, I'll be surprised if they can't get it as there's nothing else quite like it.

What is Your Favourite Gloss Paint?

I use Sikkens which is a trade paint, owned by akzonobel. It's really high quality, a hidden gem imo.

    Painting over patched plaster?

Sounds like you haven't filled it properly, sand back the area so the plaster is exposed and smooth out with Gyproc Easifiller Finish Filler and something like a 6inch joint or tape knife to feather to a smooth finish. You'll probably want to fill / feather off double size of the patch and use...

Internal damp issue near front door

Mmm all this talk of Black Jack, Expanding Foam and Water Seal... *Shudders* Leave it dry out for a bit and pick up a tub of Bostik Cementone Rapid Setting cement 10kg and a 3 piece Edging Trowel Set, it's great for repair work like this and is completely waterproof when set. It will last much...

The 5 year plan to £50k

The nature and complexity of the projects mainly - I manage large tech projects. A lot of project managers struggle to grasp technical concepts that surround complex projects, especially if they have a business background. What usually happens is they translate the mandate/proposal into a...

The 5 year plan to £50k

I can relate, I used to be in a high pressured job that eventually burnt me out. You don't have to stay in a job for 12 months if it's that bad there. All my positions have come to a natural end at around 24 months, that's when projects start to cool down and I start getting bored - but if I...

Would a full size or TKL Be a Better Choice For Someone with Poor Eyesight?

I have an cherry ANSI keyboard at work, it's a little different to ISO but not much. My next keyboard is either a HHK or Vortex Race 3 - love that mini retro look.

    What mouse are you using?

I've just moved to a Logitech G703 after many years with a Razer Deathadder - so far, so good! (Hybrid / Fingertip Grip) Disabling the RGB lighting helps a lot or you could have bought the Powerplay mat?

Would a full size or TKL Be a Better Choice For Someone with Poor Eyesight?

You should be able to get used to it by not looking at the keys at all. My hand naturally lingers around the WASD keys whilst my little finger sits on shift and thumb on space bar, a habit from many years of gaming  When you do buy a keyboard, just make sure it's a decent layout...

Noctua NH-D15S or Corsair H115i Pro RGB

Have you considered keeping the Noctua heatsink and adding their chromax range to match your theme instead? You'll need the NA-HC4 heatsink cover and a few NF-F12PWM chromax fans to de-beige the cooler ;)

    .

Did you use the thermal plaster that came with it? There's mixed reviews on how to stick the heatsinks down, some use the plaster, others resort to thermal pads or tape - I'm trying to find a balance between something that's effective, won't fall off but not permanent either.

I haven't fitted it yet but I'm planning on using the AX3 heatsink and two Noctua fans in exhaust. I've got a Ncase M1, so the Noctua fans will fit snug under the GPU heatsink and should be silent compared to the FE blower.

    Akasa Venom Voodoo cooler replacement

I'll play it safe and recommend a Noctua NH-C14S Cooler, it's very versatile and performs well. The voodoo is 160mm tall, whereas the C14S is only 135mm with the fan mounted.

You should be fine, I've just bought an Accelero Xtreme III for my 1080ti - its a really good quality cooler.

i dont know what to do with my life

I work in IT as a Project Engineer, personally I think it's an excellent career path as there as so many different areas you can branch off to. I started off in a two year college course (BTEC for IT Practitioners) and managed to get an IT apprenticiship shortly after.
