    Are Jeans becoming unfashionable?

Main thing is you need to buy clothes that fit you. I'm a shorty and it's not easy to find trousers that fit but it will make such a difference to the way you look because at the moment the clothes just swallow you. Find a tailor to adjust those trousers. Or if you buy from Uniqlo they'll even...

    Anyone using Wegovy?

It seems clear as well that we don't yet understand the full impact of ultra-processed foods on our health. Certain foods that have been demonised in years gone past are understood to be valuable nutritionally, others that were championed are now known to not be helpful. We are only just seeing...

    Anyone using Wegovy?

If self control around portions and hunger were easy, then it is clear that Wegovy wouldn't be where it is today. It serves a purpose. Telling someone to "just" eat less and exercise is not particularly useful. There appears to be an increasing amount of evidence that there is a massive...

What Restaurant did you eat at last night?

We went to Frog the weekend before last and like you say it was fantastic. There are a few extras to be upsold, but, it really was fantastic. Really recommended. I'd like to try Loch and Tyne in Windsor next, it's not too far down the road from us.

    Holiday suggestions - ~£8k

Very true, it doesn't go as far as it used to. You can easily spend £8k on a decent all inclusive in Europe for 4 adults, but if you go further afield where the cost of living is less then your money will go further. Bali for example - £3.5k for flights, £2.5k for a 2 bedroom villa/airbnb...

    Holiday suggestions - ~£8k

Bali or Thailand might be an option. The flights will be expensive but once you're there, it can be as cheap or expensive as you like.

Perhaps not for you with the kids in tow, but if anyone else is reading this the Antinori Winery is great to visit if you like wine.

    Buying Your Home

It's absolutely right to be fussy, but unless you have an unlimited budget you'll almost always have to make a compromise on something. It's just working out what that something is that is tricky because it's not the same for everyone. For some it might be having a smaller garden in exchange for...

Tips needed for trip to Paris

The thing about the Louvre is it it almost several museums in one. Like the National Gallery, British Museum, V&A and The Tate Modern but in one place. The place is huge. But, with only 48 hours in Paris I'm not sure it is necessarily a must visit. Musee d'Orsay is is a nice visit and probably...

    Dubai Hotels

Personally I quite like the marina area after staying on the palm a few times. Especially if you're going to be getting out and about from your hotel. The marina is particularly nice because you can go for a walk towards the JBR or around the marina itself. Plenty of nice restaurants in the...

So, anyone got an iRobot Roomba or other robot vacuum cleaner?

Basically lack of proper research and black friday fever. To be fair, I'm happy with my choice. Could I have saved a bit of money - seems like yes. Am I OK living my life in ignorance. Also yes. The S7 Max Ultra does everything I need it do. Because the obstacle avoidance is so much better than...

So, anyone got an iRobot Roomba or other robot vacuum cleaner?

I've gone a bit mad and ordered the Roborock S7 Max Ultra. Looking forward to the mopping feature on the kitchen tiles. I bought a Dyson 360 Eye approximately 6 years ago, it's actually got fantastic suction but the battery is going now and the runtime is not great these days. Mapping is...

*** The official M3 MacBook Pro thread (it has the M3 chip, is available in Space Black and everything!) ***

Yes picked mine up yesterday. So far I really like my 14" Macbook M3 Pro. Coming from my 2019 15" i7 Macbook Pro everything is much snappier, hardly anything ever waits. I've actually be really surprised by how much of the web is faster - websites that I thought were my connection or just badly...

*** The official M3 MacBook Pro thread (it has the M3 chip, is available in Space Black and everything!) ***

I have gone for exactly the same. I was looking at a 15" M2 Air with more RAM and disk, but for a few hundred more can have a significantly better screen, more ports and a more modern system overall. I am upgrading from a mid-2019 MacBook Pro 15" 2.6GHz i7!

    Commuter towns to London

South Ken is not an easy commute. My wife works at Chelsea and Westminster and commutes from Bucks, but it's a bit of a pain. For the Natural History Museum I'd be looking for an overground train that goes to West Brompton. Watford junction looks to be 35 minutes to West Brompton. Then you...
