Putting prices on the website like that will generate bad press, you'll be accused of scalping yourselves, and being part of the problem, may i suggest another way of approaching this, you have customers that are already in the queue for 3080 cards, start with them?
I suspect 3080 products are being scaled back for Ti variant, why sell a product @£800 + when you can potentially use that same chip or components needs for the cheaper card in a £1,000 product.
This is very frustrating, I've had one on order since Day 1, still, around 200 in Que, if the orders cancelled, we will all be on backorder again for the more expensive 3080 Ti, give it another 6 months on being on that waiting list, and we will be facing another cancellation as Skews get...
Aye, I'm on x370 , so not wanting to splash out just yet on chipset change so looking at Gen2 Ryzen's
I know AMD plan to update their socket next year, so not wanting to upgrade to the chipset to x570 because it's likely only to see one generation of CPU on it
Morning all,
I'm currently runing a Crosshair Vi (x370) with a 1700x, with a 1080GTx, 32GB ram (@3000Mhz), 256GB .M2 boot disk
I'm wanting to upgrade the CPU, I'm a heavy Photoshop user ( I'm an illustrator but also a gamer :) I dabble with 3D when required, so having a gazillion cores are...
The current 3080RTx in its current form is still an amazing card the move to 7nm might bring lower voltages? so less heat = might bring a very small clock increase which is great if you love benchmarking.
I wouldn't worry, many people will cancel upon finding out there Que position, expect plenty of changes over the next few weeks, its national holiday in China right now until the 7th Oct, so it will be quite for a little while, judging by the stuff that's been revealed post-launch Nvidia really...
If you GPU bound, getting a 3080 RTX you will more than likely mean your still GPU bound, if your running 1080p? you don't need £700 GFX card save some cash buy a 3070.
Go watch a few Gamers Nexus videos, he actually reviews 3600x with 2080Ti once you're at 1440p there's no noticeable...
AiB partners skimping on quality on cards costing from £700- £1500 quid, so efforts from AiB to differentiate price has come down to cutting corners elsewhere on the board and not conform to standards shown on FE cards... it appears, if you win the silicon lottery your not affected...
I've pre-ordered this card, and tbh I would recommend overriding the default fan curve anyways, sounds to me its something that MSi might have overlooked, they might be offering a bios update post launch to fix those issues.
Gone with MSi, my dual 770 GTX were excellent back in the day, my currently 1080GTX is a Gigabyte, which has also proven to be a good buy, but went with MSi, in the end, it was a flip of the coin TBH !
