    is this a mistake

The only thing I'd say that is that you could have thousands of posts and only have spent £50 over the years, I'd have thought "A loyal customer" rather than "loyal forum member" would have been a better criteria. But I guess you've got to put a stick in the mud and start somewhere :)

    is this a mistake

Spent thousands over the years with Overclockers but only have 479 posts, so I still can't get a GPU. Can you look at past trading history as well - motherboards, memory, cases, CPU's etc. ??

Lian Li O11 XL - Side distro sanity check

I've had disti plate delivered just waiting for the rest of the kit from OC (delayed in picking / shipping). I have 5950x CPU and a RTX 3090 and will be using 2 x 360 (top and bottom) and just a single exhaust fan. Not sure on the best setup for fans but I believe a I need 2 x 360 or maybe not....

    CPU / Mobo issue

@wookiee87 thanks for the guidance. It is fixed, as it turns out it was actually too tight but you guidance about the torque etc. put me on the right track to get it sorted. I tightened to the click and then undid each one 1/4 of turn and it posted. Just need to try it with the cooler as that...

    CPU / Mobo issue

I'm using the supplied the torque supplied, an "eyeball" (not reliable at my age) I can't see any bent pins but I'll do some macro pictures later but you can normally see odd light reflections on bent pins and can't see any. Thanks for the feedback!

    LG 38GL950G - 3840x1600/G-Sync/144Hz

How's the brightness on this? I work in a quite a light room and have a PG348Q (older 100Hz model) and end up using gamma correction quite a lot in games which makes them look washed out.

New "Build" buzzing from LG OLED..

Well, this was interesting one. I have number of devices running on the power on one side of the room - TV, Sky Q, PS4, 4K blu ray, AMP, 2 x Power AMP and 2 lamps. If I run an extension lead from the other side of the room and power up the PC there is no buzzing / humming feedback at all. No...

New "Build" buzzing from LG OLED..

Here's a good one.... I've been playing on a laptop on the TV in the living room (HP omen 1060 @ 1080p / 60) and everything is peachy. Apart from the super loud fans on the lappy. So... ordered some bits from overclockers, stuck in some spare bits to create a "HTPC", but I'm getting an...

Max 43" Monitor with KVM - with G-Sync / Adaptive sync?

Hey Knowledgeable Monitor people, I've been looking at the recent 49" monitors but just can't fit one into my work space but really like the idea of a monitor with multiple inputs and side by side working. Then moving onto full screen light gaming in the evening. Any suggestions for a ~43" (or...

Home Lab's what have you got?

Had a proud moment yesterday in my home lab build, all the hardware is fairly basic - Intel i5 NUC (do have a threadripper rig but it's not exactly power efficient!) and Draytek router are important bits of hardware. Built up an AD, Exchange 2016 and Skype for Business 2015 environment. Finally...

    Intel NUC + ESXI

Hey, just complete a Intel NUC ESXi build (NUC8i5BEK) and it's absolutely sterling. 8 cores and 32GB RAM to play with in a tiny and very quiet box. Couple pointers if you do go done this router - update the bios, ESXi 6.7 doesn't have native LAN support though 6.5U2 does, USB network devices...

    USB3 / TB3 disk enclosure(s)

Hi All, Looking for advice on a external disk enclosure to support up to 5 drives. It doesn't have to be anything fancy (read: expensive) I'm just using it to some storage to a ESXi LAB environment with some spare SATA 3 SSD's I have lying around. I'm using a NUC which has either USB3 or...

Pre-binned i7-9700k - what to set on the mobo?

Hi All, Just received a i7-9700k pre-binned from OCUK. I posted a question in the CS asking what settings to use but was given the short answer that they binned so we know they are capable it's down to the end user knowledge to overclock. Not the most helpful answer I've had but onto the...

    "Binned" CPU's what speed(?)

Hi All, I'm looking at the speed binned CPU's and, for example i7 9700k, it says base clock 3.6GHz and pre-binned to 5.1Ghz. Is that 5.1Ghz across all cores? What would it turbo too? What considerations should be given to the motherboard selection?

*** Official Ubiquiti Discussion Thread ***

Thanks, that's clear. Just trying it with the QNAP NAS (that's on 24x7) - via the container station app and using the latest controller software. Seems to be working well so I'll keep an eye on it.

Hi All, Currently have 2 x Unifi AP's and just setup a USG Pro (replaced the god awful fans). Everything is working great but just want to ask a simple question about the cloud key - I currently have the controller installed on my PC, would I be right in thinking whilst my PC is off the cloud...
