My water bill for this year is £605 - Next door on a meter paid £300 for the last year and she said she doesn't skimp on baths etc.
We only have a shower.
So they are here on Thursday to fit a meter - I can cancel and go back to yearly paying within the first 12 months.
I have installed another...
We got reasonably good news at vet this afternoon.
It seems the antibiotics are working but it's taking longer than vet thought - She now thinks for some reason the problem is in cartlidge by his ear and that is almost like bones (that's what she said) -Anyway he is on 10 days of antibiotics and...
Well that was a dead squib.
Ronnie was wailing to go out so we let him out -He has been in since mid afternoon Sunday and only goes to toilet outside.
By launch time he hadn't appeared then neighbour came back home so asked them to look for him and of course he was sitting by their back door...
Sitting here hoping Ronnie doesn't wake up and want to go out - He is due at Vets at 11.00 and if we let him out we won't get him by 10.15 the time we have to go.
Wife missed opportunity when he jumped on window sill at 6.30 so she opened window but he didn't want to go out in wind and rain - I...
I started work at 15 and retired at 55 - been retired 25 yrs so got to stay alive for another 15 to get my money back
I did have one week on the dole :)
Only Kidding.
I wish it was.
Just had a letter from pensions saying that now I am 80 I am entitled to an extra 25p a week.
When I was 18 that would buy a pack of three. Now i would be ashamed to put it in a charity box.
What a waste of resources.
Good day today - got rid of a load of wifes junk from out the garden to the Tip - Mostly plant pot's -troughs and bags of wet weeds and stuff - she never covers anything.
I have one of those car wash clean water filters and tester came with a water tester.
So I tested the tap water at 297 dirty bits
Then tested old Matra+ that has been in ages at 229 DB
Then tested the new filter put in today and it was 227 DB
So it looks like you can keep them in for longer...
Keep old tools as there will come a time in your life you find you have nothing to do so you can get these old tools out and restore them. You might not think so but you will.
Yes life does get boring when you get past the do it now jobs..
Another thing is in years to come and you look at what...
Very similar - It's black handle and red ends - the red bit by shaft spins as does the bit holder at rear - It also has lines of dots down handle but it isn't a ratchet.
It has been a very good srewdriver though.
I saved those Branson pickle jars -The square ones as they sit better next to each other then hot glued one of whatever was in it to the lid -All I look for is 6mm nut or large washer - Bigger stuff is in large coffee jars stacked at back of shelf
Also made a rotary swivel thing to mount under a...
I had my last pack from that Lidl offer last year. If I remember right they were real Brita filters. There again at my age I can't remember much from yesterday.
I had to look up these LTT and was surprised that I have something very similar -I can see a very faint name of CAPRO 15 on the side and the O is a PH screw head. It stores the bits in handle exactly the same.
I did find years ago do not put a small bit in it as it won't come out -had to drill a...
As the title.
Just ordered a box of 6 replacement Maxtra+ filters and was wondering if anyone else buys the makers filter or do you buy after market ones.
If so do you think they are as good as the original.?
Had a job this morning that came with a F word -B word -C word and all other words like that - All I had to do was drill 4 x20mm holes through a wooden door in garage -
Easy -- No - I haven't used my flat wood drill bits for years and the size I needed was blunt -Had a go at sharpening it and...
Ronnie finally went out and he looks like a new cat - on his back doing rolling and wriggles -jumping on bushes in garden and scratching hell out of the Acer tree.
It's so nice to see again except the little bugger won't take his pills - I am sure he can read my mind -The minute I think pill...
Another one for Wera - Started years ago and bought them one at a time -Now a set is cheaper -I have the ones with green handle - Also have a Wera bit screwdriver and that has come in very usefull.
Have to say they are overkill for the work I do and think other brands are just as good and a bit...
He looks better today - wife and I have had long fisting sessions of bonding again - he is eating well but so far he hasn't wanted to go out. Probably doesn't need a one and two.
It is good not having a litter tray in the house but there are times you really need to see if he goes to toilet...
