I finally bit the bullet and have bought new gubbins for a new build. My current PC is about 7 years old now and is showing its age to say the least.
What I have been doing it giving my old PC's to my sister. The one she has been using was my really old one and it struggling to even show...
So I'm thinking this PSU looks good. 650W, modular, long warranty

Thanks for the heads-up. It's been a while since I posted a build on here.
No windows on my system, very ordinary big black case that has tons of room.
I'm not so worried about the PSU and cooler, more with how the main parts will work together and anything I should switch out.
I've been planning on building a new PC for a while, wanting to base it off the 6600K. The Asus z170 pro-gaming had caught my eye for a while, seems to be a good paring for the 6600k.
I already have a case and peripherals.
Mobo - Asus z170 pro gaming
Memory - TeamGroup Dark Pro 16GB (2x8GB)...
Not bothered with a few pounds here and there. Also, better timings on the one I have chosen. Was wondering for a while whether to go with the faster 1066MHz RAM as opposed to the 800MHz one I have chosen, but since I will probably not be overclocking or at least I would be doing only light...
Monitor I have is a 19 inch CRT 1600x1200. Hopefully will be able to have it maxed out on some games finally. My old ATI 9550 wasn't exactly a great card.
Any reason to go with the 512MB version or the 4850 besides saving money?
Thanks very much for the reccomendation, I think I will change to these items after a little more reviewing.
Just my thinking, should be properly utilised in a couple of years.
Any reason to go with the 1066MHz instead of 800MHz Kingston RAM?
Just a quick check to see if anybody can see any problems I might encounter or if there are better alternatives out there.
Extra HDD is for a mate.
Computer will replace my current 5 year old one, plan for this one to be used for the next few years. Already have the case and screen that I...
Yeah, raised a bit of a smile the first time I heard it.
I will try and contact them about it, but I don't think I will be putting too much effort into solving the problem. They are about the update the site, and I might be able to find a better player out there. My mum kind of bodged the...
My step-father has a website for his radio show, which has an online player for his recorded previous shows.
The problem is that for some people it sometimes plays at double speed but for others there is never a problem. Any reason this could happen...
This does not sound like a problem with your electricity. Sounds like a problem with wireless signals. Speakers are very susceptible to wireless interference (ever heads the tell-tale beeps when mobiles are near the speakers), and of course the freeview losing signal is wireless related...
I'm a fan of Neil Gaiman
Anansi Boys is a good one of his. Guess they would be classified as fantasy due to the inclusion of old gods and magic, but all set in modern day.

Ask company 2 when you will find out if you will get an offer, then tell company 1 that you have another place that you are also interested in that has not yet finished the interview process yet.
I was in the same boat as you a couple of months ago. During my final term I got an offer from a...
