Hi guys,
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this but I'm choosing between these two for a budget (£300) laptop and wondering if anyone can suggest which would be better for general performance?
Here's the specs...
Asus X54H
Intel Celeron B800 1.5GHz
15.6" HD
Windows 7...
Hi,
We've got a tower case server which we want to lay horizontal like the old desktops due to limited space. I want to know if this is ok for the computer's health? Using CDs might be awkward but it's a server so we won't be using it much at all once it's set up and running.
Thank!
I wasn't going to post this but then figured maybe someone here has some answers?
I have a U900 which I upgraded but have two problems with it which if I can't solve will probably mean changing to another phone (see earlier post).
1) When I bluetooth a file or send a txt from my PC the...

Just curious, why would someone pay over £3000 for a phone when they can buy in the shop for far less?
Also, is there anything to stop someone from getting a free mobile on contract and then immediately flogging the phone on eBay?
E.g...

Hi,
I'm in need of a little advice and I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
We have a high-spec PC at work (Dell XPS 720 H2C) which has two GeForce 8800 GTX cards. Two 30" monitors and two 17" monitors are connected to this machine.
However, despite the high...
I'd like to know if there's a way for me via our network to access and reply to email that's been downloaded from the ISP server to my business partner's Outlook inbox.
I know I could remotely connect to his computer but this isn't practical. I could also have his Outlook set to leave the...
Got this really weird problem! Every time I open a PDF with Adobe Acrobat whatever music I'm playing starts crackling and then the sound just stops completely. It's like I'm overloading the system and one part just gives up!
The funny thing is, if I log off the sound card will start working...
My spare HDD blacked out yesterday. It just dissapeared from My Computer after a couple of clicking sounds. I restarted the computer and noticed BIOS didn't detect it.
I then restarted the computer again after giving the computer a couple of big smacks and the disk was detected again but only...
I've been using a couple of cheap PC2100 RAM modules for a while now, but am wondering whether it'd be worth upgrading to PC3200 or not (that's the most my motherboard can take)? I'm into graphic and web design and not so much gaming.
Just wondering that's all! ;)
I don't think it'll make...
What do you feel is the best way to set up a new PC with two hard disks, one of which is SATA-II, for optimum performance and reliability?
I have my 80GB Western Digital SE (what was so special about that edition anyway??) disk and my shiny new 340GB Seagate Barracuda (SATA-II) in my PC now...
Awesome, I didn't think so, since the new installation would use the default location for My Documents. I've also just figured out that I can assign different locations for the Desktop contents, Favorites, Start Menu, etc. which is really cool!
After what I've been through recently I want to...
If I were to move the My Documents folder from the default location to a seperate hard disk, and then for whatever reason have to reformat and reinstall Windows on the original hard disk, would the My Documents folder on the seperate hard disk be deleted or overwritten?
Cheers!
Was actually thinking about making the move from IE to Firefox!
Btw, is it even worth bothering with the drivers that come with the motherboard? These include the Intel Chipset Software, Intel Application Accelerator RAID (I don't use RAID anyway), audio drivers, LAN drivers and USB drivers...
Excellent news! I did as I said and started from scratch without the IDE drive connected. Unbelievably, it didn't even take a minute or two do a quick format which I didn't expect for a 320GB HDD!!
Now I can boot up from the Seagate without any problems. I guess I'm a happy bunny now. I...
In the BIOS, I have the Bootable Add-In Device set to OnChip SATA RAID and have the Bootable Add-In Device set to the first priority too.
I have a hunch the reason I can't boot from just the SATA drive is because when I installed Windows the original IDE drive was still connected, even though...
