I would have a real chuckle if that was Earl Grey tea there... :D
Everything looked so good. :)
Just a shame I'm not certain I can get to the cinema to watch this one. Might need to wait for streaming because of care duties. :(
Oooh. That means for some reason I got migrated over and that either shouldn't have happened, or it's something that'll happen for others (if you're using their router) or if your local connection (not your connection but the hub nearby your router connects to) has work done. As mine are no...
My, er... *guesses* Corsair "HX650" Bronze, from end of 2012, so 11-12 years now. No wait... I have a Corsair HX620 (White/Unrated), from 2008 is currently in a Win 98 Rig, so 16 years?
Yep, I saw something about this over in the CPU thread before I got my system more than a year ago and thank goodness I did; boy where there so many teething issues installing this generation of stuff. You just never knew if it was an actual issue or something else was bugged. :(
Hmm, I'm on an older package too, but recently I had a look at my routers IP and it no longer has a 1 hop check in tracert, or identical internal and external IPs since a recent change CF made to the local connections. So you might have got changed over without even realising.
That diagram helps a little more.
You only resolved (hopefully) the connection on your brothers side, we don't know the state it's in on your side. And because we don't know the condition of the wiring behind the wall plate in your room (room b), we need to eliminate that as a still potential...
Not a loop, at least I don't think so, as that'll have shut down the network constantly rather than intermittently as the switches tries to clear the network loop or at least highlight it.
It looks like the electrician just wrapped the 4 pair coming from OP's rooms wallplate to the 4 pair we...
The 3060 is unfortunately the card with the best price point for entry on the cards that can run AI software that relies on NVidia CUDA. Especially so if it's the 12GB model. (Which there is no equivalent on the Ti model if I remember right)
Most of the software anyone wants to use saw the...
Note, that the CF deals (from before, like during Black Friday or other big holiday periods) are now their standard package prices and slightly adjusted up. So unless if there's some big sale period I'm not seeing coming up ahead, you likely won't see much adjustment to the prices asked of you...
As mentioned by others, providing the cable for installation doesn't mean issues can't have developed during fitting/installation. As you would not know if during installation anyone was being too rough with it, or if there was any micro damage to the cable when it was bent too far, etc. Which...
I'd worry about it passing (with no issues) afterwards (or later on at least). Let's first eliminate everything we can do first, you did great already with everything else, but without elimating the wall plate connection, you can swap everything and it'll be the same result, especially if it is...
This can happen for a variety of reasons:
1. Cable between plates is not rated for 1gb+
2. Cable between plates got slightly damaged during installation, not enough to not work, but enough where 1gb+ will have trouble.
3. The socket the cable connects to behind the plate was not stripped...
I didn't quite see if you posted that you did this, but did you happen to test the cat6/7 cables from your computer to the switches, etc directly (between switch and computer) and not connecting to a wall plate connection that then going that way towards the switches?
Because I've had a...
Think I felt the prices that were being asked for to get any of the PRIME TX were over the top when I was looking for a PSU a few years back. And even the one PRIME Fanless TX700 I got would have been considered expensive, but I managed to snag one with a discount and got it for £200 odd, which...
I'm just glad I grabbed another 2TB SATA SSD drive last Black Friday sale and plugged it into my secondary rig for fast network storage until I properly upgrade the NAS later this year. Grabbed 2TB because I already have another 2TB and so they can both be paired up into a RAID setup if desired...
We had a recent thread asking for something similar, with a one or two generations down from your motherboard and CPU (more recent), and for that we found that you would be hard pressed to push an RX580 class of GPU further without investment into an upgraded CPU and motherboard. So I would say...
It looks like the main difference between the two CPU is AVX2 on the 4670. Otherwise, there doesn't appear to be much between them.
I actually have a 3570 here myself (along with 4x8GB DDR3 for 32GB RAM), and the highest GPU I've got running in it where the CPU can drive it (somewhat), is an...
