    NVIDIA 4000 Series

It does always amaze me that two companies (and hopefully intel) can make gfx cards completely seperately but end up near as makes no difference same ratser performance. Always thought that was more 'cahoots' than the prices. DLSS, FG & RT muddy those waters somewhat now. Additional technologies...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

I thought NV used GDDR6X which is much more (or was) expensive than plain old GDDR6 that AMD uses. Not that it makes any difference I've seen. If NV used normal GDDR6 then that could be passed on to consumer. DOes make you wonder where AMD get their prices from though. Prices are set £/fps at...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

The prices are low becuase people earn FA. That'll be why they all live in a box, and families have mortgages for properties that span generations and multiple generations live in the same house. 99% of the worlds base electronics are manufactured in China. I yeild, if you think it's ALL NV...

Not all countries tackle inflation the same way. So your inflation is higher, so your fuel was cheaper in the first place. We are an island and it's more expensive to get fuel to us. As our country has nothing left tehn everything is more expensive. The UK own nothing of our infrastructure. All...

@CAT-THE-FIFTH I think you've mis-understood me. We all want cheaper. And yes I could shop around. But I'm talking apples - to apples comparison (excuse the pun). Same product and impacts of inflation and maybe some profiteering. Notsaying some of it isn't, energy and fuels especially...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

STill need to pay for the R&D for the pipeline stuff, they didnt send all the R&D people home, they all have inflation, pretty sure the whole world is suffering inflation. CAn only kick the can so far down the road since 2008, we have to pay for QE, pandemic etc somehow. The poor will pay most...

6 Royal Gala apples should be £1.50 from M&S like they were a couple of years ago, they are now £3. Home energy x3......gfx cards are in line with everything else. Even 2nd hand stuff costs more than it did a couple of years ago. If you don't need want it, then like anything, just don't buy...

DLSS Momentum Continues: 50 Released and Upcoming DLSS 3 Games, Over 250 DLSS Games and Creative Apps Available Now

Yup! Someone on here when the 3090 released was saying they knew someone at AMD, and the 6900XT/X was gonna blow the 3090 out of the water! Waited for actual perf results so bought a 3080.

The Last of Us Remake | March 28th 2023

Naaaaaaw, optimizing NEVER fixed the game AGAIN did it?, 'same lot' have gone quiet though. Maybe they've learnt that release day performance isn't actually a good measure for estimating 'actual' game performance, especially from the first one down to 2fps = the cards fault. Some people...

    Redfall (Co-op shooter)

Seems to be the developers that have the AAA money behind them that can't get a game past alpha state on release day. Arkane do AAA standard of games, seems indys manage to release in a playable state. Loved Dishonored 1&2 and Prey.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (fallen order sequel)

No mate, VEEEERAM fixes games. Game is optimized perfectly, according to some it's the hardware at fault.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (fallen order sequel)

Buying a game on release /early access and expecting a good experience, is tantamount to insanity.

Don't talk sense. MAssive amounts of VRAM is the fix for games apparently. A belief held by many. Dunno why people get confused with the differences between HARDware and SOFTware and which one is more easily modifiable than the other.

    i9 9900k to 7800x3d?

X3D chips are gamers heaven. Not so much to do with the average FPS but what the X3D's do for 1% lows, meaning smoother fps - not to be under estimated. These are almost discreet gaming CPU's - INtel need to take note.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

ANd get one for 3080 money or there abouts, as it's not much quicker, just lots of sought after VRAM (the fix for new game releases).

When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

Decent prices for 5000/8000 series............no chance. NOTHING is going to drop in price that much. For the few waiting for 'dream' prices, isn't enough over sales at current prices, for NV/AMD to change prices. If you cant afford high end PC gaming now, then you won't going forward. I see...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Out of all the cards bought from scalpers at silly prices in the pandemic/mining boom - I wonder how many came unstuck. Too much £££ for an item with no warranty.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Nvidias lube hurts less, as you still get warranty. Scalpers lube has sand and gravel in it.
