    Games you're playing, and games...

Just finished ac origins and superliminal. Going to start fallout 4 next. I did play this a few years back but rdr2 came out and I jumped on that and just never went back. Fingers crossed my save is still in the cloud.

Gutter repair - Am I being mugged?

I've just had 6.5m of deepflow gutter replaced and it cost me £200. There's no rwp as that's on neighbours side. Basically, the materials amounted to £50 which means I was charged £75 per hour for the 2 hours he was here. I am capable of doing it myself but I just couldn't be bothered.

Attenborough and the giant sea monster

Caught this by accident and enjoyed it. Was a bit dubious of the Heath Robinson way of extracting the skull. Love Attenborough series but don't usually watch the cgi stuff but luckily this had none of that.

What TV shows are you currently watching

Going to give Secret Invasion a chance as I like the marvel stuff. Hope it's not suffered like everything else.

    What book are you reading...

Been reading the count of monte cristo for months, finally at 98% and can't wait for it to finish. Not a big fan, I found it quite laborious.

What TV shows are you currently watching

Watched Mr Bates vs the Post office. I don't really watch/listen/read the news and was quite unaware of the scale. Was a good watch.

What are you listening to, GD?

Grime. Not my usual music choice but quite liked some of it when watching top boy so put a playlist on spotify and quite enjoyed some of it.

    Caffeine Detox Time

I switched to caffeine free tea a few years ago and it made no difference at all that I'm aware of, and this is despite having about 8 cups full caf' per day down to 3 cups of decaf. Weird thing now though is that I prefer the taste...normal tea has a sort of metallic taste now that I didn't...

Do you feel ashamed of your lack of achievements? What do you regret in life?

Same as above but I've never been one for moving around and finding something better. I'm not qualified for anything apart from as a welder, which I haven't done any of for the past 20 years. I always wanted quals but the wages was always more important...not necessarily the amount, just...

Make cannabis a Class A Drug, say Conservative Police Commissioners...

Know a few people that indulge and I feel like legalising would be a better option. My experience is that most people that enjoy it are not harming others and mostly sit and watch movies or play games etc.. Just another way to wind down after a long day at work. Why is a cigar and/or a glass of...

Change to MM access after 1st January 2024

Currently writing this in the hopes it counts towards my post count and gets back access to the mm that I hardly ever buy from :D

    Your games of this year?

I played hellblade and was a bit disappointed with it. It looks stunning but was just too linear. Currently playing Assassins creed origins and really enjoying it. It's my first time playing assassins creed so may try the others when I've finished this. I will say though that the gameplay is...

Do you buy games digitally or on disk?

I tend to buy digital copies from places like G2a for the xbox for the convenience. I usually buy older games though when the price is way down. Currently playing assassins creed origins which was around £10 for the deluxe edition.

    What book are you reading...

Started reading the idiot. Got to about 200 pages in and decided it's not for me. (I actually decided it wasn't for me after 20 pages but tried to push on.) Now reading charity shop detective agency as it was on my prime list.

    What book are you reading...

I'm the same but I decided this will be in addition to physical books, not instead of. I usually pay between £5 - £15 per book and often see them for sale on kindle for a couple of quid. The savings will pay for the kindle over say 10 books, so worth it in my opinion.

    What book are you reading...

I've just ordered the 8gb kids paperwhite. Currently on offer for £89.99 but you can do a trade in for 20% off and the a further £10 gift card which was instant. I don't have a kindle to trade in but apparently this doesn't affect the discount when failing to send a device in... they may just...

    What book are you reading...

Apologies if already asked a million times in here but who uses what kindle, and why. Looking at them as ebooks are often cheaper but I think I prefer paper. Need convincing to spend money as the cost of kindles seems extortionate. Following recommendations here I have just ordered: I am...
