As title. There are phone sockets in almost every room, i was wondering if i can use those to connect to the router

The Radeon RX 6800 (XT) Owners Thread.

Joining in with an XFX 6800XT Merc 319 guys. It's awesome never gone above 1300RPM fans a 75C so far I made a comparison video with my GTX1080 what it replaced:

*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

What cards are the most common / have the highest chance to get one? It's disgusting that people who'd use them can't get cards while FB Marketplace is full with scalpers

So, AMD has no response to the rtx 3060 ti / 3070 founders editions this year?

The 6700XT will drop somewhere between 2080S and 2080ti probably closer to the Ti

    Is the RX 6800 a good upgrade from a R9 390 8GB?

From someone looking up specs, and knowing what they are and what memory bandwith needed in general i'd expect you to look up some reviews and see there is no bottleneck, and even if there were any the 6800XT would still be not miles but lightyears faster than the 390

The thread which sometimes talks about RDNA2

Well if you take the time look up 4-5 reviews which include Ray Tracing Games, SOTTR, Control, Metro and get an average you'd see that with RT on th e3080 is about as much above th e2080Ti as with RT on. Somewhere a bit more, somewhere less.

The thread which sometimes talks about RDNA2

Heh Did you noticed BTW that the 3080 with RT is about 35% faster than the 2080ti. The same amount as without RT. So seemingly the uplift under RT is negligible compared to Turing. Ampere cards - as it seems at the moment - just faster, bigger Turings. They are as much faster as they need more...

If they both go to chiplet designs for the GPUs then there's a good chance RDNA3 kicks Hoppers butt

The thread which sometimes talks about RDNA2

I played with my friends 6800XT to set up OC, it was 76 degrees on auto clocks and we got 2605MHZ first then 2654MHz the day after. From a ref card

The thread which sometimes talks about RDNA2

TPU lost all their credibility over the Ryzen 5000 series review. Also the 3080 has zero OC potential while 6800xt ref cards boost to 2.4GHz out of the box instead of 2.2 and can go happily up to 2.6-2.7GHz with power limit raised. So the 3080s tiny lead if any is about nullified. It only has...

    NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

This afternoon...but nothing to be excited about 9-15% performance above 3080 for twice the price and a bit higher power consumption

    NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Uhh mate do your homework please. First of all they are made on Samsung 8nm and NOT on 10nm Second, even if it were made on 7nm it wouldn't have 40% more cores

    NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Mhm that's why they pushed the cards to the limit sacrificing power consumption. Some reviewers undervolted them and got only a few % performance loss and 50W less power consumption but NV choose to squeeze even the last 4-5% performance out from them, and making them power hungry and had to...

    NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Yeah because they only sold like 30cards all over the world. BTW that doesn't mean they don't overclock like poop. He managed to get 8% off of it by building a box around the computer and blowing the AC on it full power. If anything that proves they are poop overclockers

    NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Can it? I've looked at the reviews and they managed between 10-50Mhz on the GPU getting 1.5-2.5% performance increase That's not OC

    NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Wow this launch is a total *********** from NV The cards are overvolted and pushed to the max with no OC potential, rushed out with no stock availability just to get them out before AMD. This just shows me NV is afraid of big Navi. They could have brought sub 300W cards with only 5-10% less...

    NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

What i'm saying is the perf/Watt didn't increase at all..and that's with going to 8nm process. And the cost is not lower the cards are coming at the same price as the "overpriced" Turings..just now they bring better performance uplift. These are good and powerful cards but not world changing...

    NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

As more and more performance numbers come out my hype is scaling back more and more on Ampere. The 3080 is about 30% above the 2080 ti and needs 30% more power...where is the improvement? The 3070 has 2/3 of the shaders and less bandwith...it might come in 2080S performance rather than 2080ti...
