    **** Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Thread ****

No need for sarcasm, although the 'clearly broke' part does give me a smidge of confidence that they'll see it that way and I can just chuck it back at them for a refund. We'll see. The brightness seems to be unable to settle at the lowest setting, goes up and down by a very small amount. By a...

    **** Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Thread ****

A few days with my SP4 and there are quite a few issues still apparently. My volume seems somewhat erratic, the speakers like to pop (a lot), the screen seems to auto-adjust in tiny amounts despite being told not to. The stand seems somewhat crap for something they knew we'd be using a lot...

Considering moving from iOS to Android

I've gone back and forth between the two a few times, android always wins because of it's versatility and customization. Dealing with files on-device is considerably easier and not being tied to a parent PC means I've gathered a colossal amount of wallpapers, mp3s etc from various devices. iOS...

    Failing MBP?

It's this exact problem that means I'm typing from a surface pro 4 rather than my Early '13 rMBP. It had been crap for a long time, partly my own fault because I'm not stuck in the Apple ecosystem. Without going into the software, the hardware was always terrible, I had huge image retention, fan...

    **** Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Thread ****

It may be that the cover wasn't properly connected then, I had just been messing about with it both times. I agree on the quality, I was not expecting to type this much quicker on this kind of keyboard but it feels great. Windows, whilst still not perfect, is a million miles from how I remember it.

    **** Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Thread ****

I just got an SP4 after epic issues with my mbp, I haven't really used windows since Win7 but it still feels llike coming home. Been able to connect my android phone to a PC for the first time in years without swearing and my lap is no longer aflame when watching videos. The type cover has...

Hurricane Ophelia to Brush the Azores This Weekend; May Affect Ireland Next Week

It's the same when a seemingly normal amount of rain destroys your house in a flood, you're scared of every bloody drop. My dad is like a 2017 Noah at the met office site every day.

I went back to Apple Mac - my thoughts

This! I had a 2013 I7 with 8GB of RAM and dedicated graphics. Plenty of random reboots, laggy as hell and I'm still scarred from the heat of the god damned thing. Not to mention dat epic screen burn, I've seen nothing like it.

Google Cards/Notifications on Android - How to stop them?

Google app (previously Google Now, I think) will be the culprit. Go into settings>notifications>your feed and you can select what shows up etc. I've just started getting 20 or so from that app but no idea what's caused it.

    Lending possessions for cash?

I got this very text about a Macbook I'm getting rid of. Nowhere close to worth the hassle IMO.

    Forza Motorsport 7

To be honest, I'm not sure. It was the last lap and everything had surged past me anyway so I didn't try. I'm not doing it again to find out. :D

    Forza Motorsport 7

It's only when my car started stuttering that I thought 'Wait, do I have fuel/tyre wear on?'. I tried to rewind to the pits but I was too far gone. :(:D That's the one, I could have cried. Had a really good race too, the AI was behaving and everything!

    Forza Motorsport 7

Mine doesn't like being put on standby or having a controller disconnected. Quite new to the Motorsport series, I picked it up hoping for a better experience than Horizon. Admittedly, this is partly my own fault, but that Corvette Endurance race? Yeah, you'll run out of fuel on the 23rd lap.

    Things ruined by OCUK forums...

How've you lot got to page 6 without mentioning turbotoaster and his ambitious but ultimately ruined track monster? I still can't look at even sensible aero without flashbacks.

Do you carry your driving licence with you at all times? i.e. in your wallet/purse?

I saw a gentleman get turned away yesterday because his very young (10, perhaps) daughter could not produce ID. He was buying Port for the love of Christ! He just left his weekly shopping where it was and left. :D I often go out with nothing in my pockets but my keys and just grab my licence...

    Worst Holiday Experience

Portugal when I was very young. Bad sunburn on my back and my parents decided to use sunscreen after the fact. Nothing has stung so bad since but pretty low down on the scale in this thread.

Are you doing anything with Hue?

I use a couple of LIFX bulbs, I was sick of coming home in the dark and either fumbling for the lock or blinding myself. Now, thanks to the wonders of geolocation, this no longer happens. As someone said above, the ability to change white tone is superb. Cool whites for waking up and dim...

Selling something on Gumtree, this sound like a scam?

Yeah I always get these, along with the 'please email [email protected]' scams.
