You would be surprised! Salmon sperm is used a lot in Science and it's use was fundamental to our understanding of DNA. If you are interested you can buy it in plastic pots:

It is quiet expensive at...
Thanks for the reply. IF the first one is a screen problem I think it would leave it and cut my losses as a new screen would be more than what the laptops worth.
As for the second point, by 'reflow the graphics chip' would that mean take off the heatsink and re apply some thermal paste?
Heya all,
I've got 2 laptop problems - both related to there displays.
1) Acer Travelmate 2350 - 14.1 XGA screen on Intel GME 82852 gfx controller
This screen is semi-works. Its fine except for the screen having a blueish hue. The problem is from initial boot so it is not a software...
Bought a WRT54GL-UK and have been using it for a few weeks now and been as solid as anything. I need to find some time and play around with the firmware tho...
Im in agreement with Jarvis here - I would never use a pad for a main CPU or GPU. I think there intended use was to stick on sinks onto other chips like bare southbridges, gfx memory chips, hot mosfets(?)...
thanks fro the replies guys...
The idea was to see if I could use my DG834GT (which I bought not knowing it wouldn't work with my Virgin Connection - doh!) with a cheaper Cable Router (so the routing done by the cheap cable router, and the wireless by my current ADSL wireless modem...
Heya!
I made the mistake of buying a Netgear DG834GT for hooking up to my virginmedia (ambit 256) modem.
Im wondering if I can get a cable router (ZyXel Prestige P-335 cable router - mnufacturer code 91-003-1560003) which has 1xWAN, 4XLAN, USB and use this to cnnect to my current DG834GT...
The TT BT is a good enough cooler, but the link shown doesnt actually say it'll support old athlon XP rig (socket 462). IF this is just a mistake, its a cooler you really do want to consider, but 2 here are 2 others made by titan that would also be good performers...
Hey mate,
IMHO increasing perf or noise reduction isnt everything about WCing - its also about the fun of installling it and the thrill of possibly frying your parts, and the relief of knowing all went well :) (so id personally never buy a pre-made kit). The thermaltake cooling would be as...
AFAIK 2003 was a good year for Arctic Silver -tis vintage stuff my friend :D.
LOL - on a serious note, I just let a bit run and wipe it off to reveal the fresh stuff underneath - its probably a load of nonsense on my half, but makes me feel better about it :D.
I think as it stands some of the best quiet/silent 120mm fans include:
- nexus
- yate loon (undervolted)
- sharkoon silent eagles (golf ball ones)
- scythe sflex
I cant remember off the top of my head, but there are a few good glode/NMB fans, but they are harder to get hold of.
I...
Everything you have there is pretty decent (bar the pump and rad).
I would suggest maybe try change the tubing to 10/8 (to get more flow) and pick up a Laing DCC/MCP350 with acrylic top (its a damns good pump, tiny and quiet). The nexxosradiators are not too great, but are decent value for...
Nice job mate!
Its a fair bit more pro than my first WC rig which was uber ghetto (used an odd shaped heatcore, L20, Dtek White water, cheap silicon tubing and costs less than £30 all in :D)
Another vote for the sunbeam rheobus - they have good build quality and the silver metal finish would look decent in your Lian Li.
Ive also owned the Coolermaster CoolDrive4 which was cool - harddrive cooler with 40mm fan, and controlled 4 fans in total and has 4 temp sensors. Shows fan RPMs...
If your anything like me, you really dont want to get any thermal paste on your fingers... because it will end up on the carpet, your clothes, hair...etc etc
