***OcUK FIRST - OCZ Vertex 3 Available to Pre-Order!***

Thanks for the update. Does that mean Wednesday, as in, tomorrow? And 'onwards', as in... in a few more weeks from tomorrow? ;)

***OcUK FIRST - OCZ Vertex 3 Available to Pre-Order!***

Anyone planning on putting one of these in a new Macbook Pro? I am. I'm just a little scared of ordering it before seeing a few success stories... Firmware updates look like pain without Windows. Edit: actually, it's not all that hard.

    Product calories changing, why?

I noticed that too - as of last week. I used to buy the chicken layered salad quite often and at 445 calories, I thought that was a pretty good lunch. Not sure I really want to eat a 600 calorie salad...

2 player XBOX 360 games we can play?

Hi all, just bought a 360, which I'm loving. Thing is, my girlfriend and I would like to play some 2-player games, playing at the same time... maybe split-screen etc. Most of the games I have are single player only, or just on Live (mirrors edge, GRID, CoD4, FarCry2...) Any suggestions...

Help deciding between two Panasonic TVs - 32" or 37"? LCD or Plasma?

Hi, I can't decide which Panasonic TV to buy. Worse than that, I can't decide between two panel types and sizes. Basically, I think I'm either going to buy (with some random numbers underneath them) the: Panasonic TH-37PX80B - 37" Widescreen HD Ready - Plasma TV * 100,000 Hours Panel Life *...

Wallpaper changer, image from the web

Does anyone know of a wallpaper changing application that can load an image from the web and update it? Basically, I'm looking to have a webcam as my wallpaper – it can be a static image (as long as it's updated sometimes). —thanks

    Moving house - buying boxes

Thanks for the replies. Yep, I have definitely thought about searching around for them at supermarkets, or more likely my work place. Thing is, I don't have a car (which might mean transporting them one at a time) so I just thought I'd have a look online. They seem to be more expensive than I...

    Moving house - buying boxes

I'm moving house myself (no removal firm) and need some boxes. There are loads of places online to buy them (like http://www.helpineedboxes.co.uk/), but does anyone have any recommendations? Anyone bought boxes to move before? Thanks in advance.

Quick question - airport x-ray scanners?

Pretty sure I know the answer is 'absolutely fine' but - is it OK to put my 400D through a hand luggage airport x-ray scanner? Any chance of wiping pics from the flash cards too?

    Candid photography involving children

I was going to suggest the same point - but I'm quite afraid of being hounded out of town by pitchfork wielding protective parents. We have special social and legal protections for children - since they can't protect themselves or make sound judgements. But I just don't see this as an area...

    which tripod

Ah - whoops! Many apologies Dons, I always think of the place I mentioned as a place you go to buy furniture and kitchenware etc, rather than computer bits!

    which tripod

There are quite a few tripody threads - most people here seem to recommend "saving lots of money to buy a really good quality tripod first time round - or you'll end up buying two eventually." However, that's exactly what I haven't done, having just bought a Velbon CX440 for £19.95, from a...

    URGENT HELP!!!!

Perhaps you could find one of those movable overhead projector screens and drape it over that, pegged down at the bottom or something. Your university will have one somewhere... Or perhaps just a clothes line across a corner?

CRUMPLER PRETTY BOY PHOTO BAG XL

The Daily range is much bigger, no? I have the Daily XS, and actually, it's *just* too small for me. I find it's fine for my 400D+Grip, 17-70mm Sigma and nifty-50mm... but when I put the 70-210mm in as well, it is suboptimal.

    Smokey

With these black photos, you could actually put your signature out of the frame. If someone really wanted to rip you off, it'd be just as hard to remove it from there, than from inside the picture. Just find it a bit distracting in frame - my eye gets drawn to it instead of the smoke. Super...

    my first pictures

I wouldn't be so down on yourself famas - I actually really like that blue/yellow light trails one, and love number 5 from the top. Hope you don't mind me just just cropping and colouring it a wee bit...

Need some advice as to why my pictures never quite work..

Yup. Fair enough. I was going for the kind of magazine spread pictures... the blurring appears less of a problem with some copy... Oh - by the way, I don't really know much about cars at all. So these words are quite possibly unrelated to this vehicle. Sorry about that Fox :)
