Thank you for the response - looking online it appears it does support EATX though I may need to move/remove the cable cover thing - I’m guessing USB 3.0 and USBC on my case won’t be an issue?

Sorry forgot to mention - all the USB 3.2XYZ confuses me. I have a Corsair 4000d airflow with usb 3.0 on the front and usb-c - I assume these will all connect fine to the MSI Ace board?
Hi all,
I’ve been really on the fence lately about upgrading my CPU (9900kf 5.0ghz - 1440p 170hz 6950xt)
Since seeing the 7600x go on sale for £200 I’ve been itching on getting one - but then I see the 12600k for £169 which from the reviews offer similar per core performance but the i5 is...
Completely agree! When I’m running a game I’ll switch between my max OC profile and my under clock profile and the performance is usually always less than 10% difference but usually 30%+ or more more power and like you say runs loud and hot! I much prefer a near inaudible and cooler running...
They are good temps! Seems the reference models from AMD have improved a lot since the last reference card I had from them! 5700 xt AE & Vega 56 air boost. Case is brilliant mate, the look is so much better whilst the temps have improved massively especially on the 9900k I can actually game and...
Can I ask what the power draw is on that? I’ve tried 2450 min 2550 max though it pulls approx 300 ish watts in games which i can’t justify for the slight bump in performance.. at stock what is the boost clock/power draw? 2400 is the max with fast timing I just use firestrike, heaven and Alan...
Definitely wanting to upgrade my 9900kf as it’s holding back my 6950xt at 1440p. Definitely keeping my eye out on Zen 5 - will be a good overall upgrade. Much higher ipc gains + pcie 5.0 for GPU and more NVME slots :D
Is it just me or is there a sweet spot for RDNA2.. basically my daily speeds are 2325/2425 min/Max and 19gbps VRAM and in games it typically sits around 250-280w depending on game. It’s quiet and runs cool. However crank the clock speeds up and allow it to pull 390 watts only results in approx...
Im on the fence.. if I was spending £550 I think I’d go for the 4070 Super as the performance is pretty much the same but Nvidia does have the better package. Glad I bought the 6950 XT for £425 from the MM though. Seems they’re on par. The 7800 Xt needs a price drop though… there’s only 50 or so...
ahh glad to see you’ve got same model mate! It ran hot at stock tbf but it had an aggressive fan profile.. is that 2300max? Mike clocks clock to the 2.4ghz but yes the power draw is so much better.. approx 260w in firestrike and around 200-230w in games whilst the VRAM is clocked at 2400 whilst...
Little late to the party but grabbed this off the MM and loving it! I've had some GPU's before mainly Nvidia but yes in the games I play at 1440p this is faster than the 3090 I've had previously and is only a touch (somtimes even) vs the 4070 Ti I've had but had to sell at the time...
my 24/7...
I normally stick with Intel but I think I’ll give AMD a try and given they’re due out in Q2 will give me a few months to save up for a new build - will be looking at the 8800x and maybe the X3d chip later down the line :)
Will be nice to replace my 9900k it’s a fast CPU no doubt and for the average user is more than enough but pushing 170 fps at 1440p is a bit of a push and holds back my 6800xt at times.. god help me if I go for a 7900xtx for example
Looks okay but I would not spend 600 on a 7800xt. I’d either save the £130 and get the MBA model or if I wanted to spend £600 4070 Super is where my money would go
