Noise cancelling/passive headphones for the gym/treadmill

Looks like a great deal, but the impedance seems a little high. Also, are they light to wear, and thus would they stay on well when she's running? Any other suggestions? :)

Noise cancelling/passive headphones for the gym/treadmill

Hi, My fiancée watches movies while running on a treadmill. I'm looking to purchase a good set of headphones for her so she doesn't have to turn the volume up so high. I'm not sure whether to go with active or just passive noise reduction, or whether earbuds or full headphones are best, so...

    Low profile/slimline keyboard

I use a black Logitech "Ultra-Flat" keyboard. It's not backlit or anything fancy, but it's nice and slim. Cost me around £9.99 a while back.

    Printer cartridges question

Hi, I have a Canon MX310 printer, for which Canon produces cartridges in three different capacities for black and colour respectively - e.g. 11 ml, 16 ml, and 22 ml (for the black). Can you mix capacities, e.g. insert a high capacity black cartridge with a medium capacity colour cartridge...

Engagement rings. Choose alone or with your partner? Your opinions please.

I recently proposed to my girlfriend. I chose the ring entirely by myself, although we had previously discussed some ideas on what she might like for a ring, as well as her ring size. As for budget, my girlfriend made it clear to me that she would NOT be impressed if I spent a lot, so I didn't...

    Free e-mail services

Thanks for the replies. Zoobuh looks good and is cheap, but http://www.zilladog.com/parents.html might be just as good - and free. :)

    Free e-mail services

Hi, I'm looking for a free e-mail service for the 11-year-old daughter of a friend of mine. They'd like to be able to limit who can send e-mail to the daughter's address - i.e. to block/reject e-mail from all addresses other than the ones they specify. Is that possible with any free...

    Faulty PSU or something else?

I've just disconnected all but the primary IDE drive - so no secondary, and no CD/DVD drives. BIOS/Asus Probe reports the 3.3V rail as fluctuating between 2.6V and 2.9V - only just enough to power the GeForce2 gfx card I have in there. So considering that the computer booted up okay just now, it...

    Faulty PSU or something else?

I was using Asus Probe. I can't check anything now in XP, as the crashing's so bad the computer won't even start up properly... possibly it'll hold together long enough to check the BIOS. All the other rails were stable, and within spec, so would disconnecting anything connected to them make...

    Faulty PSU or something else?

Is there any way I can easily test whether the mobo's shorting the 3.3V rail?

    Faulty PSU or something else?

Can a mobo slowly kill a PSU? I've always thought if there was a problem then it'd just go "pop" and kill the PSU the moment you turn it on... And why only the 3.3V rail? Unfortunately I don't have another PC to check the PSU in.

    Faulty PSU or something else?

Hi, I bought a Corsair HX620W back in May 2008. Around July my 3.3V rail began to drop, causing instability and forcing me to RMA the PSU. I received a new PSU a few weeks later, installed it with no problems, and have until recently been perfectly happy with it. In the last couple of...

    VGA Issue..

Hi, I'm having exactly the same problem, but with different cards. I'm currently running an old GeForce2 MX400 on an Asus P4P800 mobo, but have just bought a second-hand Asus 256Mb 7600GS AGP8x that I'm trying to get to work. I uninstalled the NVidia drivers, put the new card in - including...

Do you have a Bible at home and What version is it?

We probably have 25 Bibles or so in our house, in various translations. I primarily use my NKJV (New King James Version) compact reference edition.

Upcoming trip to America - advice needed re:flights

Silly me. Using Expedia's "multiple flights" option, I've found I can do the London - LA - Houston - London route, and it's much cheaper anyway. :) Thanks anyway! Your comment about possibly losing luggage made me rethink things.

Upcoming trip to America - advice needed re:flights

I'm pretty sure it's not possible to go by just one airline, as Virgin/BA don't do internal flights within the US. I know I'm taking a little risk this way, but I don't know how else to do it - I don't have the contacts in LA to be able to hang around the city until the next day. If I do...

Upcoming trip to America - advice needed re:flights

Hi, I'm taking a trip to America in January, and wondered if anyone could give me some advice... I'm first flying into LAX for my friend's wedding in California. A week later I'm taking a domestic flight from LAX to IAH (Houston, Texas) to visit another friend. A week after that, I intend to...

Webcams... Creative or Logitech? (or others?)

Hi, I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive (£30 or less) webcam, mainly for using with MSN/Skype. My choices so far are the Creative Optia and the Logitech E3500. I'll be using it primarily on my desktop computer (old CRT monitor) and possibly on my laptop too, so it needs to be able to sit...

    Monitor shutting off randomly

Hi, I'm running XP Home, 2Gb RAM, 2.6Ghz P4, Asus P4P800 Deluxe - it's been going strong for years with a Sparkle 64Mb GeForce2. However, in the last couple of days the monitor (standard 17in VGA) has turned off randomly - the computer stays on, but the screen light's orange, then Windows...

Effects of a shaky 3.3V rail? Or high temps?

My Asus mobo temp/voltage monitoring software is reading a low voltage on the 3.3V rail (between 2.97 and about 3.1, but occasionally dropping below 2.97 and setting off the alarm), and my Asus GFX monitoring software is reading 2.81V on the 3.3V (Vcc) at idle (i.e. now). Just now it's dropped...
