    Must be a cheap Hozelock hose, mine doesn't kink one bit! It's the silver hose if that helps.

    For the sake of £50, I'd have the cooker installed and checked by a gas engineer. Ever seen a gas explosion at a house?

    Very little value to used blocks in my experience, each one has to be cleaned so they go back down tightly, which is very time consuming.

    Just pump the lot out down the drain; a small amount of oil will look like a lot when in fact it isn't much at all.
