    Virgin Media Discussion Thread

Does anyone have the 1gig service that has bought an AX based router and put the Hub 4 into modem mode that can recommend one? Have been thinking of the Netgear Orbi?

Yes - I was sent the Hub 4 and my 1gig service was activated this morning. I just swapped the box myself and you send them a text to activate before swapping. Nice and quick!

    Oh Dear, Virgin ....

Your local wireless is reporting being connected at 1Mbps from your own screenshot so there is your problem. Try connecting via ethernet and run another speed test ensuring your wireless is off and report back. Edit: Could also try changing the wireless channel on the superhub or switching...

Gargoyle - Good Family Network Solution

Ah ok that's fair enough. The original post just said house members and there are a lot of posts on this sub forum to deal with shared households and dealing with people who download all day. Although anyone else using this for households such as the above might want to take this into account.

    Lens for Berlin?

Hi All, I'm off to Berlin for a week next month and was wondering which lens to hire for this holiday? Last year I went to Rome and took along a 24mm 1.4L (using a 550D body) and whilst it was a fantastic lens I sometimes felt lacking in reach. I was looking at getting the 24-70 but...

Windows 7 not connecting to Internet

If you have just installed Windows are the network card / chipset drivers installed? Check network connections via Control Panel to see if you have any connections showing at all.

    Ideal lens for Rome holiday?

Thanks Raymond, I read your post a while back when looking for hotels in Rome as there's so many to choose from, ended up booking the one you stayed in! I've read good things about the 24mm and I think the wider aperture will help when inside the various sites.

The "Post your pictures here" thread.

I have a similar shot with more of my nephew in view with the ball higher up, I applied a different processing technique to it, but judging from the comments it may be worth re-visiting that one and going over it with the processing from the one I actually posed up. Yup the second image...

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated! With regards to the baby shot, I kind of agree about clearing up the mess, but I like to take photos with real life aspects, he had just finished eating his first birthday cake so thought I would just leave as is. All shots were taken with the 50mm...
