Hi There,
I have gone from the DGM to Hazro (Non Glass) big improvement in Contrast, colours and sharpness. Should get a bit of an idea from the image below:
Despite the few issues i still think this is a phenominal screen for the money! I can't imagain the new Samsung will be anywhere near it: 1920x1080 TN vs 2560x1440 IPS, there's no comparison!
Yeh i think i might RMA it. Just watched Inception in 1080p, it looked stunning, except the back light blead on the left was quite distracting in all the dark scenes :(
I've tried manipulating the bezel a bit but no luck, I don't want to try too hard in case i brake anything and then can't RMA!
As i mentioned earlier in this thread, I wasn't too pleased with the backlight bleed on one side. Here is a photo of it next to my DGM 24" VA screen.
obviously the colour ballance between the two is significant, but you can't notice this in real life.
Overall it is darker than my old screen...
Out of interst I just measured the power draw of the monitor at different settings. The result is below:
The monitor uses different power depending on what is on screen, a completely black screen uses less than a completely white screen. I've used middle grey to give as a normal value.
I...
yes mine is the non glass version. There are some other posts from photos of the glass version. I think the reflections look a lot worse with the glass but it's hard to tell without them side by side.
I can't see how the glass will improve blacks or colours? It's just a piece of glass...
just set up my old DGM next to this new Hazro, massive difference!!
The hazro has so much better contrast and colours. The DGM looks really washed out in comparison. The blacks on the Hazro are far deaper. Also the colour ballance between the two is quite differenet. I think i might buy a...
Just picked up my WC version this morning. Very impressed so far! Went for the non glass version and i'm quite glad! I have a window directly behind me and the reflection is not really any worse than my old matt screen (24" DGM VA).
Colours, contrast, sharpness and viewing angles all seem...
Gibbo: Any chance of seeing a photo of the non-glass one? Would love to order one of these at the pre-order price, but can't commit to so much money without knowing what it will look like!
I'm a bit worried it will be a bit of a bodge just leaving the glass front off and not be a very good...
I had a Canon 40D for a while before it got stollen (along with £1200 lenses :( ) and brought a Nikon D90.
My opinion is that the 40D is a more professional body, it felt much better in the hand, was more sturdy and had better AF. However when it was stollen I went for the D90 mostely because...
The comments about AF-S being quicker arn't always true, it depends on the implementation. The AF-D 50mm 1.4 has faster focusing than the AF-S 50mm 1.4....
