I switched from Canon to the Sony A77. Got the 16-50 f/2.8 kit lens, which is as sharp as my old 17-40 f/4 L lens. Very pleased with it. Best DSLR type camera I've ever used. The video is good quality. Only problem is that FCPX doesn't seem to support the newer AVCHD 1080/50p 1080/60p standards.
I love Lightroom's noise reduction. It did a good job. I switched from Aperture to Lightroom just because of the sharpening and noise reduction features.
We were considering going, but it had mixed reviews on Yelp. We rented a beach villa, and did manage to see a whale breaching the water surface a few times. Reminds me of seeing dolphins jumping out of the water in Malibu while driving on the PCH.
The reason I asked is because of this thread: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18207103
We asked the photographer to provide either RAW or RAW converted to TIFF, and he said he would shoot in RAW.
After getting JPEG images that were poorly exposed, I wanted the RAW files to...
Of course I have heard of Google... but I just wanted to confirm that it cannot.
I have a PDF manual and it doesn't state TIFF, but just need to make sure it wasn't added in a firmware revision.
I thought the same at first, but the CA and distortion only appears in the lower-left corner. I've been looking at reviews for the 28-70 L f/2.8 and they are all excellent:
"At 28mm, wide open already give professional results (edge to edge defination). On addition, color re-production are...
No we didn't. I guess the mistake is that we didn't see the photographer's previous work, except for those that we were told were by the same person on the wedding website.
It was a photography company called Blissful Images if I remember correctly.
The package stated that it would be a professional photographer, and that we would receive 150 professional photographs on a CD. Well, we didn't get 150 professional photographs. We got 450 bad photographs... and they didn't come on a CD.
The other thing is, I am wary of wedding...
Thanks for the feedback. The wedding officiant, photographer, videographer etc. were all part of a package we paid for from a wedding chapel.
This is one of the two chinook photos (top-right). Both are exposed like this.
I know we can't get this day back, and that the main thing that's...
Hi
My wife an I were married in Malibu, California on the beach back in September.
We had a professional photographer, or that's what we paid for anyway. At first, the guy seemed great. He had a good attitude, and seemed to know what he was doing. We asked for candid style shots.
Everything...
Washington State, USA:
I had one chance to get this photo because the lens got coated in spray within about ten seconds, while the camera was precariously balanced. I actually like the blown-out water. It reminds me of Zelda Twilight Princess.
