** MANY SKYLAKE DDR4 LAPTOPS NOW IN STOCK & AVAILABLE AT OcUK!! **

Both great laptops, I went to Selfridges in London to compare the sizes (I already have an x3), and as I travel a lot with a pretty standard issue tumi laptop bag, the x5 doesn't quite fit into it. If you travel irregularly with a particularly wide laptop bag, then no question the x5 is great...

** MANY SKYLAKE DDR4 LAPTOPS NOW IN STOCK & AVAILABLE AT OcUK!! **

I'm trying to decide between the x3 v5 and the new p35. Basically, is the 980 worth the extra weight/size. Is there anywhere in central London I can (or can soon) touch a p35 (esp. One of the new ones) - I would still order it from ocuk, I just want to see how much bigger it is (I already have...

** MANY SKYLAKE DDR4 LAPTOPS NOW IN STOCK & AVAILABLE AT OcUK!! **

Why is it that the 13.9" aorus x3 v5 is 17% heavier than the 14" MSI GS40 6QE (1.87kg vs 1.6kg)? Similar specs... Also, secondly, any views as to the real world performance benefits of 6gb DDR on the aorus' 970M vs 3gb DDR on the MSI's 970M? Thanks!

MSI GS40 now available for Pre Order

Super, thanks Loki. This looks very tempting. Is there any other 14" form factor or smaller with a better gpu out there? Any news on why this isn't gsync enabled? Thanks again for the prompt responses.

MSI GS40 now available for Pre Order

When is the first batch of these planned to ship? Is that going to be a real date, or will we find out just before the expected date that shipping is pushed out a month (as is commonly the case with preorders across all sorts of manufacturers)?

MSI GS40 14" Gaming Notebook Coming to an OcUK near you soon !!

Excited by this, and its beaten the aorus x3 skylake refresh to market (I think?). The bezel is a tad chunkier than I'd like, but not big enough to be a deal killer.

    Aorus Project X upgrade

Thanks, I'm interested in the upgrade programme as I'm not ready to buy a whole new aorus yet. That would be awesome, thanks. The rather cinematically styled video from aorus on YouTube 're project x (may 2015) does not say anything about it being specifically for sli laptops - so if that is...

    New skylake gaming laptops

When are MSI and Gigabyte planning to have these already-announced laptops available to order in the UK? Thanks!

    Aorus Project X upgrade

Thanks but I'd tried that already, nothing in those links gives a specific way to use project x, or did I miss something?

    Aorus Project X upgrade

Hi there, how do I take part in the Aorus project X upgrade product for my existing aorus x3+? Many thanks, Petrov.

    Aorus Owner's Lounge

Thanks for the feedback and interaction, it's hugely appreciated and really does differentiate aorus as an enthusiast/premium product. The other forum is the gigabyte sub forum on notebookreview. It's easy to find for others who are interested. I repasted the cpu/gpu using IC Diamond 7 carat...

    Aorus Owner's Lounge

I'd support the idea of linking a button to fan settings, it's painful to open up the control app and change it that way - a simple Alt-Fn or macro button pre-set would be great. Also, if we were to repaste the CPU/GPU, could someone from Gigabyte tell us what thickness of thermal tape is...

    Aorus Owner's Lounge

X3+ (860m) owner here! I'm toying with going for the new x5. Any suggestions where to sell my x3+?

    **AORUS X5 -Coming Soon**

Thanks for the response. I travel there regularly, any reason you wouldn't recommend me buying it there or other things for me to consider, other than warranty?

    **AORUS X5 -Coming Soon**

Question for the gigabyte rep(s): If I purchase an aorus laptop in the US, is the warranty still valid in the UK? Same pickup/return service in the UK, even if I buy it in the US? Thanks!

    **AORUS X5 -Coming Soon**

Thepharcyde, is the sli tlx really a fair comparison? The tlx looks a lot heavier (almost 30%), so not really a thin nd light gaming laptop at 3.2kg?

    **AORUS X5 -Coming Soon**

Thanks for the quick response atom and understood. What are the physical dimensions/weight? Any tentative release date (even month)? I own the x3 and I've enjoyed it, good bit of kit.

    **AORUS X5 -Coming Soon**

Looks nice but I'm surprised they've gone for sli based on the old gm204 cores, rather than dual 970s. I'd worry about the heat. Very odd given aorus' market is high spec gaming laptops, at a premium.

    p34w v3 with boosted Vram

Atom, I bought the X3+ a few months ago and it's a great little machine. That being said, I'm dead keen to get the new v3 (970M). Any chance you can offer a trade in offer for the X3+? Anyone else want to buy a much loved X3+?

    aorus x3 review

For those of us who just bought an x3, do you think there's any prospect of gigabyte/aorus offering a 970m gpu upgrade option? Otherwise it leaves a bad taste to release a cutting edge gaming laptop only weeks ahead of a massive gpu refresh which they knew about...
