I meant that I have an H50 I can use (if required).
I think I will be getting the build that Honosuseri posted.
but isn't mini-atx differant to micro-atx?
The Case will not be part of the budget but I would like to stick under £100 and I probably have my H50 hidden somewhere.
I think the i7 would be much better for me because I will be streaming and the programs I use will benefit from hyper threading.
Although if the i5 3570k will be fine for...
Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my current setup for a more powerful processor, my current mobo has issues with onboard sound and uses the marvel sata3 controller and I'm planning to start streaming Games online (mainly Starcraft)
Current Setup:
Asus Sabertooth x58 with i7 950 (Corsair H70 Cooler)...
I noticed the listings in the last few days...I've been keeping an eye on this model too. Have just returned one of the 27" DGM's because it was faulty so will need to decide quickly whether to accept a replacement or ask for my money back....if the Samsung becomes readily available within the...
Yes, I'm interested in that one too and have been keeping an eye on its availability. I've recently noticed that a couple of UK places that I've never heard of have it as a pre-order, so I'm hopeful that it will soon be available at the more usual outlets.
Lol...I was even more silly because it caught me out when trying to switch it off....so I'd obviously figured out the correct button to press earlier, to turn it on....short memory, I guess :D
Dammit...am I the only one who ended up with a faulty one...:(
Will be taking it to the Post Office tomorrow and then hoping my replacement arrives next week. I've been a bit unlucky, but an excellent display for the money.
Yes, these settings look good...I thought contrast of 89 would be way too high, but it looks fine.
How did you do your calibration, by eye using test images or do you have a proper hardware calibrator?
OSD Settings
So have any of you guys tweaked the settings yet??
I've found that the defaults are actually pretty good and not as 'over baked' as they tend to be with some other displays. So far all I've done is reduce the brightness a tad, from 80 to 70.
The colour balance looks slightly...
Windows Update
Just spotted an 'Optional' Windows Update for the monitor, which I installed. It seems to think it's a Boevt Terra2760WLED. Seems to have made no difference other than that name now appearing in Device Manager and the Screen Resolution window.
Weird.....at first I saw no bios screen, but now I do.....not on restarts though, only from a cold start. Also the issue with my screen turning itself off hasn't happened for a few hours. Maybe I'll give it some more time before doing the RMA. You get 14 days under Distance Selling don't you?
It's all to do with colour management, or lack thereof in many Windows applications, including the Desktop. The colour saturation of images will vary depending upon which application you are viewing them in and they mainly end up looking over saturated. You can mess with ICC and ICM profiles to...
Well, mine arrived this afternoon and there's been some positives and negatives so far...
Positives
Image looks very good, even at default settings
No dead/stuck pixels
It's NOT wide gamut, so no over saturated colours
Negative
No bios screen with DVI cable (HD6950) - not tested VGA...
When my 24" Digimate started giving trouble a few weeks ago I decided on a 27" IPS display and bought a Dell U2711. I was very impressed indeed with the build quality and range of connections, but had to make a difficult decision to return it. The main reason being that despite researching on...
Just downloaded the 11.11 drivers and notice that I have the option to install 'Application Profiles', which by default was not ticked and it says I don't currently have them. Probably had the option before but not noticed as I usually just do the 'quick' install.
Are these best avoided or...
