    Holidaying to Las Vegas

Yeah, agree on the poor location. I hated crossing over the bridge at the MGM intersection then being accosted by all the people handling adult leaflets etc out. I was in Vegas for 4 days, and that was enough for me. Granted during the day I was at Comdex, but I wouldnt want to stay there...

    Holidaying to Las Vegas

I stayed at the Luxor, courtesy of the generous British Tax Payer and had a great time. :D 'They' even paid for me to spend time in Santa Monica too :D:D God bless you all. Circus Circus was a right dump though.

How much to maintain a 360 modena a year?

The old cars would take a lot more maintaining than the modern ones. However, you should have checked with some of the independant specialists, many of which are as good as (if not better) than the pukka dealers. When i was looking into 512BBi (5L, Flat12) I spoke with a lot of independants and...

Top Gear 'hooligans' damage classic car

I haven't seen the show which contained this, but from reading the Lancer thread and a couple of others Ive come across, it does look like TG provided the driver. One would presume that if it wasnt a TG nominated driver then Simon himself would drive, he states quite clearly that he wasnt...

Having watched classic Ferrari racing, I take my hat off to the owners who put thier million pound cars on a track in competitive racing. But doing donughts in cars of this age is just plain stupid especially from one who should know better. This isnt the only kill attributed to the boys at...

By Colin Adamson, Evening Standard 17 June 2003 A classic racing car that once won the Le Mans 24 Hours race was left with a burned-out clutch, damaged drive shafts and bald tyres after an "idiotic" test drive for BBC2's Top Gear. Presenter Jeremy Clarkson's mystery test driver...

to get ABS, or not ABS - that is the question...

As an aside. How many people understand what happens with ABS or have it explained to them when they buy the car? Then, how many of these people have a scary experience when they hit the brakes on snow or ice or heavy wet conditions? In some circumstances ABS is a great thing to have, in...

to get ABS, or not ABS - that is the question...

This isnt really what ABS is about. Its about remaining in control of the vehicle under extreme braking conditions ie emergency braking. If you dont lock your wheel ABS wont cut in. I seem to remember being told that the best braking (if you can call it that) is just before the wheels lock.

to get ABS, or not ABS - that is the question...

Get the ABS, if you dont like it you can always <ahem> remove the fuse </ahem> and disable it. Disclaimer: I provide the above information for educational purposes and would never suggest that you carry this out, and neither would your insurance company.
