It's even worse here as the standing charge has shot up so the rate prices have to be lower to hit the price cap. The export rates have gone down in proportion as a result so its even more units per day just to offset the standing charge.
Rather annoyingly I didn't get on Flux export until 21st...
15.1 generated and 5.6 exported in the peak window.
Absolutely awful day, just cloud and rain. Battery just got to 98% by 4pm before the force export period.
This is essentially my setup, though less panels. I have a 5kW inverter on the 4.8kW array facing SE. This one has the batteries attached. I then have a separate 3.6kW solar-only inverter attached to the 4.62kW array facing north-west. There's a CT clamp attached from the 3.6 inverter to the 5.0...
33.1 generated and 22.1 exported.
It was cloudy almost all day. If only I could get a fully sunny day to see what it can do. I haven't had one since the second array was installed on 10th January!
The other issue is that it generally rewards dead-south facing panels. Any panels further around than south-east or south-west and efficiency always suffers.
24.5 generated and 11.4 exported.
We had Welsh weather in the east today. The sun didn't show itself until half 3. The NW panels did the heavy lifting with 14.9 alone.
15p fixed export is a no-brainer now unless you force export lots in the 4-7pm period. The standard export rate on Flux for us is about 13p now, so even sending out 5-7kWh at the peak rate we're only averaging about 16p overall for our export.
If it drops more in July and the fixed export...
What have they predicted for the month? About 415kWh?
PVGIS predicts about 350kWh in April for your location with 3.3kW of panels pointing true south with a 35 degree roof angle.
Have a look here and plug in your details. It'll be more accurate than your installer prediction...
It might just be that you're not seeing higher as you're 30% over-panelled on the 5kW inverter. it depends on the inverter, some can use above their kW rating when charging the batteries, but normally you'll see brief peaks above but nothing really sustained.
