    Some help regarding tyres!

Hi, Hopefully a relatively quick question but I'm looking to get a full set of new tyres. I'm looking at Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance when I look at many sites (Here's National for example https://www.national.co.uk/tyres-search?width=205&profile=55&diameter=17&rating=V~&loadindex=91)...

    Obesity

It's interesting that we always look to the stick rather than the carrot when it comes to obesity. I think we should consider more ways of motivating people to exercise and eat healthier options rather than punishing them if they don't with higher tax foods etc. I quite like the Vitality...

Are you a top revenue earner?

That's a fair challenge, my original comment was about a comparison between a Northern and London salary wise, and yes I think a salary of 95K in London will get you a similar lifestyle to 65K in the North.

Are you a top revenue earner?

It varies massively to be honest in my experience. There's nice areas in Manchester, Leeds or York that are getting closer to London prices, especially post covid. That said I'd still map a Northern salary of between 65-75K to a London salary of about 95K-115K.

Are you a top revenue earner?

£150k salary + ~£140k stock and I live in the North not always been that way though and due to a combination of a lot of hard work and some good fortune to get here.

    Working from home worth it?

I'm really mixed about it, I'm a lot more productive at home (probably upwards of 25%) due to the lower number of distractions but you have to figure out good ways of working with your teams to make it effective and if you're in a management role it can be a challenge if some folks aren't great...

    How many DINKs here?

I'm not sure that's quite the sensible strategy, have children even though you don't like them on the off chance you might like them when you do?

    How many DINKs here?

DINK here to. I grew up without much, my parents probably should have chosen either not to have kids or to have less than they did which probably tints my view. Ironically I'm probably in a great position to have them if I wanted. I think if you find yourself in an environment with kids around...

Anyone work in Cyber security ?

Yes I work in cyber security and have done for around 15 years. Depending on role it'll be quite a challenge from your current background if you want to go into a technical role. If you're looking for a like for like role, I.e. compliance in the cyber security field that might be more accessible...

    What to do with 25k

I think this has been really poorly dealt with, I'd rather not be part of a forum that supports spending the money of someone who hasn't passed away yet. If you could delete my account please mods that'd be appreciated.

    What to do with 25k

It requires thought once it happens, what requires thought right now is how he looks after a family member who is clearly unwell.

Ukraine Invasion - Please do not post videos showing attacks/similar

I'll be honest and say I think that 'offer' is probably legitimate and the only likely path out of the immediate conflict. Whilst Ukraine are doing amazingly well, they are supported by huge Western support, and that western support is feeling the strain of energy and cost of living issues...

Do you ever listen to the Radio when you're at home?

As a kid I used to love to listen to the radio, I got some of those headphones will a built in radio when I was about 10 and I'd listen to the likes of Talk Sport (James Whale) until late, even later in life I quite liked Radio 5 (up all night). When I think about it, I'm not really sure why I...

    Mortgage Rate Rises

It looks likely it will be a period of significant house price falls and serious financial strain for the majority of home owners. I can't see how mortgage rates will not hit 10% in the next 6 months and that would likely lead to a ~20% drop in house prices. Unfortunately those most affected...
