hi guys, I'm looking at getting a new iMac and like the idea of starting from fresh again but would still like to copy over some of my programs, is it possible to just copy programs over but not all photos and other data ? Tony

Ok guys, got it sorted now, I used supaduper to backup my OSX DVD to the new partition which made it bootable and show up in the start option, once I got the OSX DVD running I then formatted the new partition and installed OSX, now doing a gig update lol Thanks for ALL your help. Tony

ok so your saying restore an image using the snow dvd and try it again, thanks ill give it a go, i'll get back to you but it might not be until tomorrow.

the disk was installed with Snow from new i upgraded to lion, i have tried to format the new partition but it made no difference.

are you looking at this on a mobile ? because i have the pictures up of what setting i'm using and i've taken them as i booted from the dvd so you can see whats going on ? Tony

that third pic is from the snow leopard dvd but as you can see the partition i made is not there or am i still doing something wrong ?

hi guys i could do you your help, since running lion photoshop CS5 has been a nightmare for me, the pen keeps freezing and CS5 keeps crashing when i goto save. now what i want to do is make a new partition and put snow leopard on it but when i make one i can't see it in the boot up options...
