I have one. It's connected to one of the HDMI ports on my Onkyo amp.
I use Google Play music and it works great, you get the album art displayed on the telly or I can turn the telly off and just hear the sound via the amp.
Don't think anybody has mentioned Help! yet.
It has some of my fav Beatles tracks on it such as:
Help!
You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
Ticket To Ride

My Vaio with built-in Blu-Ray drive sits at around 25% - 35% CPU load while playing a disc, this is with a Merom 2.2Ghz, and hardware acceleration via an 8600 GS. So I would say it's worth shooting for a 1.8Ghz CPU minimum for smooth playback, depending on the HW acceleration available.
I had the same thing with mine and in the end I bought a USB SB Live! - not only is the sound clean but you get many more outputs including digital optical etc. They are pretty cheap so that could be a solution for you.
My thoughts on the subject
In my experience when I get a DRE, there is indeed what appears to be scratches on the DVD but they are in fact scuff marks which can be removed with a soft cloth and possibly some cleaner fluid. This has happened to be several times where a game would literally...
Hmmm, I did actually want to use the onboard sound and ditch my aging Live! Value card...
I also notice that despite being cheaper the DS3 does not have Firewire, whereas my current motherboard does...
Decisions, decisions...
Which one would you say is proving more popular, both from a general features point of view and from an overlclocking point of view?
I've got the E6600 chip, I just can't decide between these two boards...
Sorry if this has been asked before but it's not clear from the description, and on other sites it seems to be specified like it's an optional extra?
Thanks
I'm going to be putting the following system together very soon:
E6600
Gigabyte DS3 / Asus P5B Deluxe
2GB DDR2 6400
7800GTX 256MB
...along with about 4 SATA hard drives (mostly 250GB) and a DVD-RW.
I've got an Enermax 451W PSU (EG451P-VE) from a few years ago (coming from a...
Just finished reading that 7 page thread, thanks.
It appears some of you have seen some issues with this board, I'm guessing the VIA chipset/drivers are playing up.
The tough decision point for me is if I went for an "expensive" motherboard and DDR2 I would literally spend twice the money...
Hi there,
I've spent some time pondering and researching about where to go with my current system, which is:
Pentium 4 800 512 Northwood HT @ 3.4Ghz
Abit IC7-MAX3
2GB PC-3200 DDR (4x512MB)
Leadtek 6600GT 128MB AGP (overclocked to 575/1100)
Apart from the graphics card which was added...
I wanted to give it the thumbs up, some parts of this album are great but in places in gets a bit annoying/irritating (for want of a better word).
Perhaps it needs a few more plays...
Really enjoyed Up All Night and the in-between track "Somewhere else", but when I listened to this album I wondered what the hell I was listening to after a while... not especially impressed tbh.
