    Massive Car insurance costs?

Renewal time Last year - £346 This year - £622 79% increase, that is just bonkers. I wouldn't mind I'm an old fart driving a Citron C5. Never had an accident etc. Tried all the normal comparison sites and I can't beat the renewal from my current insurer. :(

Chain Reaction and Wiggle going into administration

Loads of their stock have been selling on eBay of late. I picked up a Vitus bike for my daughter and a few little bits (Tyres, energy gels etc). Everything arrived OK, though not the quickest. Not sure what is happening with their main websites though. I ordered a Vitus bike for my son...

    MyWhoosh PC Spec Question

MyWhoosh does need a fairly decent PC to run the thing properly. My old Zwift setup was a tiny Lenovo mini PC which whilst it didn't have a dedicated GPU, it ran Zwift fine on all be it on lowish settings. MyWhoosh wouldn't even load, it just crashed on load. I then changed PC so I could run...

The Indoor Riding/ Zwift/ TrainerRoad etc. Thread

I love how the Overclockers budget creep manages to spill into other areas of life :D. I was interested in giving the whole Zwift thing a go. Take 1 Wahoo Kickr Core Used my only bike at the time Zwift on a laptop I found putting my bike on and off a complete faff and gave up after a couple...

    Road Cycling

Looks like I'm going to have to take it to the bike shop after all. The cable on the SM-BCR2 Di2 Battery Charger is different to the one on my Di2. Its the double square type that plugs into the old Di2 with the charging point on the handlebar end. I have the 8150 Di2 that charges from the rear...

    Road Cycling

I charge it using the only cable that came with it. Its a 'Shimano EC300 Di2 Charging Cable' It only handles charging duties and doesn't handle data, unfortunately. I did spot the one Merlin but I bought it from a place that do 'next day' and I would have no issues returning it if it didn't...

    Road Cycling

Argh. had a notification on my E-Tube app that there was a firmware update for my Di2, half way through the update, error message and now the bloody thing is bricked. When I try to restore it from the iPhone app it just tries and fails 3 times. Reading up the only fix is to connect to a PC...

Headset Bearings, are these the right ones

Hi oh wise cycling folk, I am trying to source some replacement bearings for my BMC Roadmachine. I took them out and took some pics. I asked BMC as well, and they originally tried to sell me a whole headset assembly which includes a new top cone for £105. When pressed again they gave me...

    Your experience with OLED burn-in

Well after LG collected my OLED65B6V on the 8th of December, it was delivered back this morning. Was very well packaged up and it had clearly been given a nice brand new panel as I go to do the peel again :D It certainly feels brighter and more vibrant than before, although most of that will...

    Your experience with OLED burn-in

Don’t go looking for it. Once you see it with test patterns you will notice it on everything. If you can’t see it then it ain’t there :D

    Your experience with OLED burn-in

I quoted this back to LG and after a few weeks of silence I’ve just got off the phone with someone at LG customer service. They have magically found a new panel and will collect the TV, replace the panel and send it me back for £250. Needless to say I snatched their hand off.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century ?

Used to watch the series when I was a nipper, still got the film on my Plex server although it hasn't aged well. Still has some moments of comedy genius though :D

    Road Cycling

I picked up the Varia RTL515 in the sales as well. I couldn't justify it at £160 but at £100 it was worth a punt. I also picked up a 1030 Plus for £299 as well. I was using a Wahoo Element Roam and I was struggling to see bloody anything on it (old eyes). After the first ride out with the...
