Yes you can keep your existing number, as I did. Just inform Sky you would like this and they will arrange it for you. I was quoted much lower than the 75mb im getting now, so, i think you should get very close to 40mb with a qutoe like 34mb. Hope that helps.

similiar situation with me. i was quoted 66mbs down, but no upload quote. Ive been on it for 11 days now, and its settled down nicely at 75/16.5, with a ping time of 5ms. Point is, BT Openreach seem to be quite cautious with their estimates.

I don't believe this! BT Openreach just called to say they've cancelled y appointment for installation and that i should call Sky to re-arrange for another date. All this after I've waited ll morning, booking all day off work, and my existing Internet connection being disconnected this morning...
