Tempted by a 2015 Mazda 6, similar cars of brands i've forgotten?

Its a lot of car for the money, its a "Skyactive-G SE L" Trim, seems to have literally everything. Downside is its not a liftback (or a fastback, or even a long hatchback if you will :D). Skoda Superb fits a lot of this criteria, but the front really doesn't look any good, i've definitely...

List of liftback/sportback/fastback cars from the last decade?

that does look *very* good :D

List of liftback/sportback/fastback cars from the last decade?

I will no doubt survive as i've been happy to be seen in a Laguna mk3 for a long time. Most of what i'm seeing coming up are a little above what i want to pay, although i have my eye out for higher mileage heros too. Car market is fairly bonkers eh. 2nd Gen is Saloon, 3rd Gen is back to hatch...

List of liftback/sportback/fastback cars from the last decade?

:cry:My take is you can fit a washing machine in most liftbacks, because you end up tying the boot down half open like some cheap rate estate. That's how i go about it anyhoo :D

List of liftback/sportback/fastback cars from the last decade?

I'm finding it hard to get a short list of car models that are a sloping style hatchback. It's rare you can filter by that style as its fundamentally a hatchback, but also because it goes by slightly different names and manufactures have trademarked their own, its equally hard to search for them...

Are used smaller capacity SSDs a viable option? (i'm a decade out the loop)

Haha, I guess it's relative, I agree with you my laptop is the same, i just presumed SSDs use had grown across most of the board. These will be on the ingest of a server that is not short on TB's thats sure. So I guess my idea of small has changed with the files I use. @Cyber-Mav the two you...

Are used smaller capacity SSDs a viable option? (i'm a decade out the loop)

Amazing reply, thanks! Food for thought. I definitely assumed there are more opportunities to make mistakes than grab a bargain... I guess I'll want something more on the enterprise side of things. It will be powered on 24/7, write bursts of GB's at a time and then dump it all to rusty metal...

Are used smaller capacity SSDs a viable option? (i'm a decade out the loop)

This is in a server with a sas backplane, so sata/sas connection is all I can use.

Are used smaller capacity SSDs a viable option? (i'm a decade out the loop)

So i'm looking for a drive (or few if the price is right) that I want to run as scratch/cache disk(s) for another project (server stuff). It's the first use i've probably had that might truly benefit from an ssd properly if i'm honest (other than obvious silence, longevity and power draw on my...

A long list of requirements that just come to a Superb conclusion?

Yep! This is exactly what i'm looking at, and i don't think there is much that can give it a run for the money. I'll have a check on carwow, i tend to find its for more expensive cars, and or not that fruitful the last time i tried.

A long list of requirements that just come to a Superb conclusion?

Its not the length, just preference against the estate shape, and i don't need cavernous space, just the odd time i'll slid and fit bigger things in, when biking etc.. The one time being shorter has apparently helped me. I'm 5'8", so i doubt that will ever be a concern!

A long list of requirements that just come to a Superb conclusion?

All very good points. Mk2 is off the cards, because it isn't a fastback, that was introduced in the Mk3, which is probably the reason I didn't get the Superb 5 years ago! So that and my budget may very well make my decision for me. 2016 L&K 2.0TSI 220 is coming in right on budget time and...

A long list of requirements that just come to a Superb conclusion?

Haha, I was having a joke at that yeah. I mean i think its awesome too! Ok so it seems like i'm getting a Superb then, its the critics choice to me and within my own filter bubble it appears! Now how silly do i go? My **** heart says 280, my head says don't be daft please. :p

A long list of requirements that just come to a Superb conclusion?

I think i'm basically looking to buy a Superb, because my lord do you get a lot for your money, but as is the wisdom of crowds and the internet to tell me i'm an idiot, or have high/low expectations, or i'm too poor. I thought i'd check i've not missed anything off, or outside ideas, or who...

    TV STB replacement spec?

I If youre intent on x86, then look at the NUCs. What can't the nvidia shield do? I've recently bought this thinking it would be a downgrade, but the hardware is incredible. It has unusual limitations (multitasking by default on androidtv is neutered), nothing you can't overcome, and you...

Multi device keyboards with usb-c and decent?

So having a few mobile devices and various different thing associated to them, or repairing bluetooth things is getting quite long in the tooth quite quickly recently! I almost pulled the trigger on the Jelly Comb KUS-015BS-3, which supports 2 bluetooth and a usb dongle for both mouse and...

**Dell PowerEdge T20 Mini Tower Server - Owner Thread**

Ah makes perfect sense, so the displayport and vga ports will offer nothing without a valid CPU, im suprised the g3220 had onboard graphics if im honest just assumed the board had something built in too. Ark says g3220 has integrated graphics, oops my bad, does explain why it was so cheap now...

**Dell PowerEdge T20 Mini Tower Server - Owner Thread**

Dredge this thread back up. Finally installed an E3-1220-V3 myself to replace the g3220 so i can start some VM's all is good apart from I appear to have lost all video out, so i presume its something to do with onboard video on the CPU maybe? I'm not getting POST or a way to get into the...

Tell me why i'm silly for buying used drives

Many (many) days later, because i've been busy and testing obviously takes forever.... anyway I have some total gems :) 2 with only 25 days power on time with 5.6 and 23tb of writes resp, including my surface disk reinitialise. 3 with 238 days with 5, 5 and 16tb writes 3 with 2038 days but all...

Tell me why i'm silly for buying used drives

Ok, so they're here, and I'm ready to put them in my uraid box, whats the best way to stress test them, and make sure theyre all ok, or ditch the bad ones? Either way it's going to take a while, and I want to do it right once... Windows, or unraid (looks like unraid doesnt support preclear...
