Graphics cards prices on the mend- Scalpers losses

So here’s hoping whenever the next gen cards get released the prices will be a little more normalised! We can wish!

What ever happened to the forum deals?

Well overclockers store had a 2060 OC on sale today, not seen if it’s still on tho. Unfortunately it was massively overpriced at around £500. I’ve got a 1660 super on preorder for £240 atm, stock date keeps changing though. Used to be March now it’s early May. I would rather get a 3060ti or...

What ever happened to the forum deals?

I was wondering this also, I just assumed they are building stock. But they did list some cards recently on the site, but not in the way discussed on here. I have since setup alerts for the MM forums just in case. I’d be interested to know why we haven’t had another offer for a while now...

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

Haven’t experienced any glitches/crashes. I got two games of the event in, oddly won both of them (haven’t won a BR for almost a year!). The dam/viaduct area is the most changed I think, it’s quite good tbh. Played a bit downtown, that’s not changed much. Got through the stadium over to...

    Just bought a 1080ti for £108??

Just had a look myself. Looking at one seller, over 200 feedback all 100%. These were all for purchases though. The only thing they are listing or have ever sold are 10+ 1080ti cards, it stinks of a hacked acc.

Next Graphics Card Drop for OCUK.. !

When’s the next discount code drop? Those prices are insane on these ones in stock. Was considering buying and mining but I CBA adding to the electric bill. It’s purely for gaming.

Next Graphics Card Drop for OCUK.. !

Just had a 2060 super in my basket on another store, £530... couldn’t bring myself to do it. Not for an old card!! @Gibbo I hope you put up some 3060s soon, when you’ve got enough stock I assume. My 1650 super does the job fine right now thankfully.

Next Graphics Card Drop for OCUK.. !

Are you planning on doing something similar for the 3060 cards when you finally put them on the website? I don’t have enough time for gaming to warrant spending almost £1k on a card, so the 3060 is about my price range. I’m glad some folk are managing to get hold of them this way though. Any...

What games first got you into PC gaming ?

Online wise... Kingpin for sure, loved real mode DM or Bagman. Although I think Motorcross Madness was one of my first online games. I soon went onto Unreal and Q2, anyone remember the chicken mod? I also remember the HPB / LPB abuse heh. Single player wise it was Grim fangdango or a golf...

    ** A RARITY: NEW ASUS 24.1" MONITOR WITH FULL 1920x1200 RESOLUTION!! **

I think it's got something called "aspect control", which I think is only available if you use HDMI input (its faded out atm in the menu as I'm using DVI). When I get chance over the next week or so I'll try hook it up with HDMI and see if it does the 1:1 pixel mapping. Also this panel is...

    ** A RARITY: NEW ASUS 24.1" MONITOR WITH FULL 1920x1200 RESOLUTION!! **

Been playing a few different games now, CS:GO mostly but also some Farcry: Blood Dragon and Starwars online. As a PC gamer of over 15 years and having played on various screens over this time I'd say this screen is perfectly good for gaming! I can't compare to one of those 120hz jobbies as I...

    ** A RARITY: NEW ASUS 24.1" MONITOR WITH FULL 1920x1200 RESOLUTION!! **

Hi Dazz0r, I've had mine less than 24hrs but I'm very impressed so far. I've played some CS:GO and it was very responsive with no ghosting at all to my eyes. I've also processed some RAW photos for the wife and it looked fantastic. There is a bit of backlight bleed, but you only notice that...

    ** A RARITY: NEW ASUS 24.1" MONITOR WITH FULL 1920x1200 RESOLUTION!! **

Ordered just now, so hopefully it'll be here for tomorrow - the wife is in to collect it too. I'll have a play with it over the weekend and give my thoughts on it. My current screen is an ancient 17" LG Flatron and the one at work I use is a Dell 2208WFPt, so I don't have a huge comparison to...

    ** A RARITY: NEW ASUS 24.1" MONITOR WITH FULL 1920x1200 RESOLUTION!! **

Thanks for your input PCM2, you've actually helped a lot. I was concerned that the VS24AHL wasn't very easy to calibrate, but now I've read a few reviews on the BenQ (yours included) I think I'm probably going to go for this one (VS24AHL). This may change again, but deciding what to get is...

    ** A RARITY: NEW ASUS 24.1" MONITOR WITH FULL 1920x1200 RESOLUTION!! **

The one in this thread has a 5ms and the PA248Q has 6ms. Not a huge difference tho. Also this one doesn't come pre-calibrated like the PA248Q and as I'm a graphic designer who also dabbles in a bit photography this makes it appealing. I just can't make up my mind, these two or the DELL U2412m!

    ** A RARITY: NEW ASUS 24.1" MONITOR WITH FULL 1920x1200 RESOLUTION!! **

Looks like the vendor rep Mr Orange isn't coming back frequently enough :(. VS24AHL is very tempting, but I have just found the PA248Q for £300 elsewhere and it does look as though it's a better built monitor when compared to the VS24AHL. Does anyone know if they use the same screen or not...

    ** A RARITY: NEW ASUS 24.1" MONITOR WITH FULL 1920x1200 RESOLUTION!! **

As a vendor rep, please could you clarify the difference between the VS24AHL and the PA248Q with regards to the actual screen, all I can see is the VS24AHL has a slightly quicker response time. Also, do the screens use PWM? I'm currently leaning towards the VS24AHL rather than the PA248Q, for...

    ** A RARITY: NEW ASUS 24.1" MONITOR WITH FULL 1920x1200 RESOLUTION!! **

Considering getting one of these screens, I do both photography / graphics work and I also like to game quite often. During gaming is there any ghosting? Would you say the colour accuracy is good for photographs?
