My fathers 19” 16:10 died. Swapped it for a Dell UltraSharp 2209WA (IPS), as temporary replacement. It’s a spare I use at the office, but it’s got to go back, Father is impressed with it though.
Any recommendations? He doesn’t play games. Not expensive.
At some time in the distant past, I had a dispute with eon electricity, which was resolved by an ombudsman type service. I’m wondering if something similar exists in the Internet Service Provider / Telecoms world?
Yep, that’s something to consider. I currently run 1 x PC, Windows 7, 32 bit. Looks like updates will get bigger, as much as 500mb per month, by the look of things:

Okay. As a novice to all this, it’s not obvious why it makes any odds to Virgin, how you access that 40gb limit. 40gb is 40gb.
I found these business rates here: https://www.virginmediabusiness.co.uk/connectivity/mobile-sims/ I've just mailed them to confirm things.
I was looking at doing away with the landline at the office, using 4G instead, for calls and internet on PC.
Virgin appear to offer the best contracts, on the favoured EE network. 40gb unlimited calls/texts, £22 p/month. I was thinking of connecting the mobile to PC via USB cable. Apparently...
I thinks it's 3 years, from what I've researched.
Warranty: Anyone know? The seller hasn't got back to me, so I'm doubting they have the receipt or warranty documentation. Do monitors such as this have a unique ID number, that allows Dell to verify whether it's still in warranty?
I’m looking at getting a used Dell UltraSharp 2709w. The seller claims it’s 8 months old, but never bothered to register the warranty. I presume the UltraSharp range comes with 3 years warranty? So how do I stand on this? I’ve asked the seller if they have the purchase receipt and/or relevant...
On the AOC website it’s described as a ‘WLED’ monitor, and on the PDF file as a ‘TFT’. http://www.aoc-europe.com/PDF-Generator/aoc.pdml.php?uid=57&ts=1312393159 Does that mean it's not an MVA?
Someone wants to buy £200’s worth of car spares off me. I’ve asked for £100 deposit up front, before he collects the spares in two weeks. He’s offering either a cheque in the post, or to ‘put’ the money in my bank account, and he’s asking for my sort code and account number. I’m not making...
Like quite a few supercars, it has a suspension lifter, raising the ride height by a few inches, to transverse sleeping policeman etc.
...or maybe he just drives on the pavement...
I’m looking for a new monitor for general office work (no gaming), including internet, small text being a major factor. Would a pixel-pitch of this variance, make a significant difference to eyestrain?

Thanks for the advice guys. This 27.5" might be a solution. Never thought to look at a bigger screen, presumed they'd be megabucks, but that's much cheaper than the HP.
Not for gaming, video or photographic work, just office work, including getting 3-4 web browser windows open on screen at once. Cheapish but reliable, and with viewing angles that aren’t compromised if you move your head a few inches from centre.
Trying to help someone out whose site is now offline because Yahoo! stopped free hosting with Geocities. So looking for recommendations for free-host alternatives, please. :)
