Tell me about it. Many more triple digit trips to the forecourt for the thirsty swine

    Massive Car insurance costs?

Looks like Tesco are one of the very few insurers that aren't putting ridiculous prices on performance cars. They were at least £400 cheaper than anywhere else for my E63S. Worth trying directly on their website too, saved me another few hundred that way. One of the first things I did was got...

    Massive Car insurance costs?

Started checking for my partners car renewal, was £378 last year and cheapest I found online was £465, in the meantime the renewal from the company came through and to my shock was £349. Once I'd got back up from the floor I pushed that through and paid in full just in case it was an error :D

    Massive Car insurance costs?

Update on my side, going direct with Tesco Bank Car insurance got my premium for the year down to £1232. Considering the car I'm happy with that. Also shows you that the comparison sites are making a fair wedge of cash considering the exact same policy on uSwitch (which was surprisingly the...

    Massive Car insurance costs?

Got my E63S in January, paid Hastings around £200 to change from my Megane RS to it for around 2 and a bit months, now I would assume that would mean the renewal would be in the £1500-1600 mark. Nope. £2435. Managed to find £1550 or so on the comparison sites so far but will do some digging...

I tested an M5 Comp and an RS6 before deciding on the E63S and agreed on the points you've made. Would have been happy with any of them but the E63S just felt more aggressive yet practical. RS6 felt a bit too clinical and the M5 was great but I wanted an Estate/SB ideally.

Honestly don't blame you. I'd be the same if this one went the same way, touch wood it's been flawless so far though.

Oh god, you had some rotten luck! Do you still have it? Hopefully it's been better recently! It makes me glad I have the main dealer warranty, even if it doesn't cover everything! This is most likely true but would use the remote start now and again, so maybe in a month it'll be sorted :D...

    Mercedes Benz and AMG Owners

Initial impressions are not great, been waiting almost a week for a sales guy to unregister the car from the previous owner so that I can add it on the Mercedes me app, not a huge issue but if that's how they treat someone with an V8 AMG...

They put in 2 years as standard, negotiated with them to throw in another 2 years and the alloy insurance rather than push them down on the price.

    **Unofficial Tyre Thread**

Always been on Michelins with my Megane RS, Super Sport to begin with, then onto Pilot Sport 4S. Since I got my E63S, I've moved onto Continental Contact Sport 7's and they are wonderful so far. Time will tell though, but heard enough good words in various places to make the switch.

She was actually quite supportive, although she's somewhat hesitant to give it a drive herself, late night trips to the local supermarket car park for now :)

Recently joined the AMG club after owning a Megane RS 265 Cup for almost 10 years. With my 40th on the very close horizon, decided to go big whilst I can: - 2020 E63S AMG Estate in Cavansite Blue. Pre-Facelift, AMG Performance Seats, carbon fiber and Nappa interior. Absolutely in love with...

** KOLINK CORE ADEPT BRAIDED EXTENSION KITS NOW AVAILABLE **

I'd honestly only compare them to the CableMod Modmesh Pro extension kits, and they sit £10 more expensive. Bitfenix/Phanteks cable sets don't have as many cables (4 vs 6), 18AWG vs 16AWG (important for the new 40 series), Nylon/PP vs PET (PET looks and feels better), cable combs aren't...
