    NR200 Owner's Thread

I've used pairs of Noctua NF-A12x25 PWMs, and sourced grill covers separately (they were definitely needed for the AIO build I did). This list will indicate whether you can fit a 25mm fan at the top, dependant on the height of the CPU socket on your motherboard and the cooler you've chosen...

The SFF Case Gallery And Specs Thread

Fancied a change after a couple of recent NR200 builds, so decided on the Meshlicious for my new development and gaming rig. Spent a pleasant Sunday afternoon assembling this with my daughter (well it was pleasant for me anyway, and she did offer to help). Motherboard MSI Meg z690i Unify...

No worries. Also note that your choice of motherboard may affect whether you can squeeze in 25mm fans at the top of the case. Some Gigabyte boards tend to mount the CPU a little higher, reducing the available space.

There's a table on r/NR200 that lists air coolers that are compatible with both the glass and vented panels for various motherboards: https://www.reddit.com/r/NR200/comments/q56xlg/new_update_nr200_air_cooler_compatibility_list/

    Case Dilema

I've probably stumbled across it - I'm at that stage in my research where I seem to be hitting the same articles for the third or fourth time :) Been through a lot of comparisons and cooling benchmarks for both now, and the consensus is definitely not favouring the A4-H20 for the i7. Meshy...

    Case Dilema

It was a similar Reddit post the brought it to my attention, someone going from the NR200 to the A4-H20 I think. Seen a few reviews with it running the 12700K, and it seems to be pushing the limits of what the case is capable of cooling. Not sure I want to live that close to the edge :) I...

    Case Dilema

Cheers Trig, appreciate the detail (and apologies for hijacking your thread). The Meshy is definitely worth a closer look I think. I love the look of the Dan A4-H20 too, but all the reviews I've read that have squeezed a 12700K in there seem to have resulted in thermal throttling at load.

    Case Dilema

There doesn't seem to be much scope to add more in the way of cooling to the MAX from what I gather from the Optimum Tech and Machines and More reviews. I've got a side mounted 280mm AIO and two top fans in the non-MAX, but the MAX wouldn't allow for much more in the way of fans beyond the AIO I...

    Case Dilema

I definitely get the attraction of the MAX, it does look to provide a pretty slick installation experience. It's on my shortlist for an i7-12700K ITX build I'm planning, if I can convince myself it'll give me the cooling I need.

    Case Dilema

I've done a couple of builds in the NR200 (non-max) over the last 7 months - one air cooled (Noctua NH-U12A) and one water (Artic Liquid Freezer II 280mm AIO). Seems to be really versatile with more layout options than the max I think.

Space-saving: New PC build or gaming laptop?

I've built a couple of SFF systems in the NR200 (mesh panel) recently, both Ryzen 5900X - one water cooled (Arctic 280mm) and one air (Notcua NH-U12A). The AIO was pretty tight, but it went together well generally.

    Kraken X63 280mm AIO with a Gigabyte X570 I AORUS PRO

Cheers Zeebedy. Did you have to make any fan profile adjustments in the BIOS to reflect this configuration at all?

    Kraken X63 280mm AIO with a Gigabyte X570 I AORUS PRO

Chees Zeebedy - just to confirm, you've got the fan connector from the pump and both radiator fans connected to CPU_FAN? I've got this splitter, but I can't for the life of me recall whether it came with the X63.

    Kraken X63 280mm AIO with a Gigabyte X570 I AORUS PRO

I'm putting together an NR200 build consisting of a Kraken X63 280mm AIO and a Gigabyte X570 I AORUS PRO, but struggling to find a definitive answer on how best to connect up the AIO in combination with a couple of case fans. The motherboard has just two available FAN headers, CPU_FAN and...

Think I might be erring towards skipping the bottoms fans to begin with and seeing how I get on. Good to know there's potential to add some more drives if needed - thanks McPhee.

Not daft at all, I know exactly what you mean. Historically I've tried to build the kids systems with high end components that would deliver decent performance for a good few years, just perhaps needing a GPU upgrade. It seems to have worked out pretty well I think.

Looks like a nice build that, MaDMax. Might look into that some more actually, can probably get away with 32GB. Lower profile the better I'm guessing? If we went for a 3 slot card then we might have to lose the bottom fans I think. Looking at some other NR200 builds there look to be a good...
